Our talented ladies brought their kitchen skills to life. Barbara was reminiscing about sponge cakes, Ann was sharing her Christmas cake wisdom, and June was just there for the delicious results!

Josie, one of our residents, is an avid gardener and enjoys trips to the garden centre with her friends to be able to add to her own little outdoor space outside of her room.

As you can see it’s an absolutely beautiful display which she shared with one of our other residents. They discussed which plants were which and what her design plan was.

Upton Mill is their home and everyone is encouraged to personalise both their inside and outside space, especially when in Josie’s case she loves gardening. 🌺🌷💐🌻

Congratulations to Ellie Mae on obtaining her Care Certificate!🙌

Ellie Mae joined our team a few months ago and has truly blossomed. She is always cheerful, and our residents have really taken to her. Not only has she proven to be a hardworking carer, but she has also managed to complete her Care Certificate while working.🏆

Yesterday was International Friendship Day and here at Upton Mill, our residents have formed really strong friendship bonds with each other.

Here is what they said 🥰

Barbara and Sheila❤️Barbara said everyone needs the support of a good friend. They enjoy the cinema and coffee in the bistro together. Sheila said that even though Barbara doesn’t climb “the fells” she still enjoys her company!

Frank and Charles❤️Both enjoy their time together on garden walks and enjoy sitting in the dining room together eating their meals.

Doreen and Daphne❤️ Daphne said “I can’t believe that when I moved to Upton Mill that I would find such an amazing friend. We have so much in common and always help each other out if needed. We do all activities together especially skittles as well as enjoying going out on the minibus trips together.

Doreen said “Daphne's smile lights up her day. I like the way we look after each other and can talk about anything”

It’s clear what a truly special friendship they have as do many of our residents. 😍
