Today our MD Vicki had the pleasure of being invited along to the Black Bear coffee morning to tell the group all about us and our passion for helping our community. 💛

Of course she took along a big bag of biscuits to sweeten everyone up. 😋🍪

It was one of liveliest, energy filled coffee mornings we’ve ever attended like this!

It was well run, extremely well attended and there was a great atmosphere. 👌🏻

Lots of people said how it is an important part of their week, how they have made lots of new friends and one gentleman even travels from Winchcombe each week for it!! ☺️

It was good to hear what else is needed in our community and we will be looking at what more we can do to fill any gaps. 🤞🏻

The actual bear didn’t have much to say and it was funny to see what looked like “sample” pots on the bar! 🤣

We would highly recommend this coffee morning to anyone to pop along to! ☕️

Wednesdays 10am till noon.

🧶 Are you a keen knitter or crocheter? We'd love your help!

Our Voluntary Services team is looking for volunteers to help make and check Twiddlemitts for patients living with dementia or learning disabilities.

Twiddlemitts are knitted or crocheted sleeves with carefully selected items attached, providing comfort and sensory stimulation through touch, colour and movement.

Join us for an information session:

Yesterday our MD Vicki Daffodil Hawker attended the Learning Disability Partnership Board meeting at Churchdown Community Centre.

It is an open meeting for anyone to attend whether they are a professional working with individuals with a learning disability, a family member, a carer or an individual with any type of learning disability.

The partnership board was formed to enable collaboration between various departments and agencies to work better but most importantly to give individuals with learning disabilities the power to ask questions, choose topics to review, give important feedback and to help shape services and events for the future!👌🏻

The meeting is led by the lovely Tammie who is an “expert by experience “ and with the support of her co-chair Jan, they ensure that every voice in the room is valued equally! 🙌🏻

We are proud to part of this partnership board to be able gain valuable knowledge and insight that we can share and use to improve our own services when needed. 🌟
