One of my clients has been struggling to recognise what time of day it is, which can lead to confusion, anxiety, and disrupted sleep patterns. After discussing a few options together, I suggested a dementia-friendly day clock to provide clear reminders of the day, date and time.

Changes in sleep patterns are very common in people living with dementia. Some people may sleep more during the day, wake frequently during the night, or find it difficult to distinguish between day and night. Poor sleep can affect mood, memory, concentration and overall wellbeing.

Simple aids like this can help reduce confusion, provide reassurance, and encourage a more structured daily routine. While every person is different, sometimes small changes can make a big difference to comfort, confidence and quality of life. 💙
