We were absolutely delighted to host the UCL Aphasia Music Group at Cuttlebrook Hall for a truly special session with our Thame Say Aphasia group! In honour of Aphasia Awareness Month, the UCL team ran a fantastic workshop where the members came together to practice and record the chorus for an upcoming Christmas single aimed at raising vital awareness about aphasia. Our wonderful peer leader, Anna, was there guiding the group, and the energy in the room was incredible. Everyone had a fantastic time singing along, sharing smiles, and proving that music truly is a universal language.
What is the Thame Say Aphasia Group?
If you or a loved one are living with aphasia, you might be wondering if our group is right for you.
Say Aphasia groups are designed specifically for people with aphasia to meet others who truly understand the daily challenges of communication. It is a warm, relaxed, and supportive space where there is no pressure. We focus on building confidence, sharing experiences, supporting each other, and—above all—having some fun!
Our group is completely peer-led by Anna, meaning it is run by people who understand what it's like to live with aphasia, for people living with aphasia.
