Men’s Health Week UK (organised by the Men’s Health Forum) is running from Monday 15 to Sunday 21 June 2026. The week aims to raise awareness of men’s health and to encourage all men to seek help to address any health concerns that they may be experiencing.

We believe that good health means being mentally and physically well, and we advocate for everyone seeking help when they need it. We do this by raising awareness of mental health, encouraging everyone to start a conversation about it, and for organisations to implement effective interventions to address it, so that, together, we can end the stigma that surrounds it.

We advocate for change through responding to government inquiries, working with researchers to provide evidence on effective interventions, contributing to mental health initiatives and by working in collaboration with our Supporters to build positive mental health in and through work.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is working with NHS and local authority partners following several confirmed meningitis cases involving young people in the Reading area. Sadly, one student has died and two others are currently receiving treatment.

Health officials have reassured the public that the overall risk remains low, as meningococcal meningitis usually requires very close contact to spread. Close contacts of the affected individuals have already been offered precautionary antibiotics.

Young people are also encouraged to check they are up to date with their vaccinations, including the MenACWY vaccine, which is available free on the NHS up to the age of 25.

If you are worried about symptoms, seek urgent medical advice immediately.
