Update on the new NHS Meningitis B Vaccine service
The NHS have announced a new community pharmacy vaccination service to provide a one-off (this summer only) Meningitis B Vaccination Service. This free NHS vaccine service will run between July to September 2026.
Who will be eligible?
All Year 13 students (born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008);
Under-25s entering university or residential further education for the first time; and
International students under 25 years old entering their first year of university.

We will be offering free NHS Meningitis B vaccines to eligible young people starting University in September from late July.

Sneezing your way through the season? 😅 You're not alone! Hayfever, also known as allergic rhinitis, is that pesky intruder that pops up when nature's beauty is in full bloom.

Hayfever is basically your body's way of overreacting to harmless substances like pollen. Symptoms include sneezing, runny or blocked nose, itchy eyes, and even fatigue. The usual suspects? Tree, grass, and w**d pollen, along with dust mites and pet dander.

So, what's the game plan to tackle this sneaky intruder?

- 🧘‍♀️ Try natural remedies like using a saline nasal spray or a honey spoonful believed to help with local pollen.

- 🏃‍♂️ Stay indoors during peak pollen times, typically early mornings and evenings.

- 💊 Consider antihistamines and nasal corticosteroids, but always check with a healthcare professional.

- 🌿 Use air purifiers and keep windows closed to minimize pollen exposure at home.

Personally, I've found a quick check on pollen forecasts helps me stay one step ahead of hayfever.
