Sometimes the hardest thing to understand isn’t the relationship itself.

It’s understanding why we keep holding on long after we know something isn’t working.

It took me years to understand that. 🦋

REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS

1. Have I ever stayed in something longer than I needed to?
2. What was I hoping would change?
3. What made it difficult to let go?
4. Was I holding on to the reality, or the future I hoped for?
5. What have I learned about myself from that experience? 🦋

FINAL REFLECTION
Sometimes the question isn’t:
“Why did this happen?”

Sometimes the question is:

“Why was it so difficult to let go?” 🦋

Follow if you’re curious about why we do what we do. 🦋

22/06/2026

For years, whenever life wasn’t working, I moved on.

The next chapter.

The next beginning.

But eventually I became curious.

I started asking questions.

And that’s when I realised something.

I wasn’t really understanding what had happened.

I was simply moving on from it.

The real change didn’t begin with a fresh start.

It began with understanding.

🦋

REFLECTIVE QUESTIONS

1. When something hasn’t worked out in my life, have I tended to move on quickly or take time to reflect?
2. What experiences have taught me the most about myself?
3. Is there something from my past that I understand differently today?
4. What became clearer once I stopped and looked back?
5. What am I beginning to understand about myself now that I couldn’t see before? 🦋

The Chapter Changed… The Theme Didn’t 🦋

Reflective Questions

🦋 Looking back…

1. Is there a theme that has appeared in more than one chapter of my life?
2. What patterns can I see now that I couldn’t see at the time?
3. What keeps showing up in different forms throughout my life?
4. What have my experiences been trying to teach me about myself?
5. If I paused and looked back today, what might I understand differently?🦋

Final Reflection

Sometimes the details change.

Sometimes the people change.

Sometimes the circumstances change.

But it is only when we stop and look back that we begin to see
what has been there all along.

19/06/2026

At the time, every experience felt completely different.

Looking back, I’m not so sure 🦋

Sometimes life shows us the same thing in different ways…

and we only understand it when we finally stop and look back. 🦋

🦋 Reflective Questions

1. Looking back, is there something life may have been trying to show me more than once?
2. What patterns only became clear when I stopped and reflected?
3. What can I see now that I couldn’t see at the time?
4. Is there a theme that has run through different chapters of my life?
5. What am I beginning to understand about myself today that I didn’t understand before?

🦋 Final Reflection

What am I only now beginning to see more clearly?

What if the problem isn’t actually the problem? 🦋

Sometimes the thing we’re trying hardest to get rid of may be trying hardest to protect us.

Tonight’s reel explores this further. 🦋

For years, I believed that if I could just understand why I felt the way I did, everything would change.

And understanding does matter.

Both counselling and hypnotherapy work with thoughts, feelings, emotions, behaviours, beliefs and the sensations we experience within the body.

Both can help us understand ourselves more deeply.

The difference is often the level at which the work takes place.

Counselling helps us understand the path that brought us here.

Hypnotherapy can help us work more directly with the subconscious patterns that may still be influencing how we think, feel and respond today.

Neither is better.

Both can be powerful.

And often the greatest change happens when understanding and experience work together.

🦋 Understanding creates awareness.
🦋 Awareness creates choice.
🦋 Choice creates change.

🦋 Does this resonate with you?

1. What pattern do I understand but still struggle to change?
2. What emotions seem to return, even when I know where they come from?

5. What would I like to experience differently moving forward?
