๐Ÿง  Today is World Brain Day

Brain health is something that affects us all. With millions of people worldwide living with neurological conditions, raising awareness is an important step towards earlier diagnosis, better support, and improved quality of life.

World Brain Day is an opportunity to raise awareness of neurological conditions and the importance of brain health.

By talking about brain health, sharing knowledge, and supporting research, we can all play a part in creating healthier communities.

This morning, our Research Team joined colleagues at Grove Surgery in supporting Day! โค๏ธ

Everyone got involved by wearing red, baking some yummy cakes and helping to raise awareness of the vital role that research plays in improving patient care and outcomes.

Research helps us discover better treatments, improve services and shape the future of healthcare. Every study, every participant and every conversation contributes to making a difference.

A huge thank you to everyone who is taking part, has dressed in red and is supporting the day. We loved seeing the creativity, enthusiasm and, of course, the delicious cakes! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ”ด

Weโ€™re also delighted that colleagues at School Lane Surgery and Watton Medical Practice are also taking part in Day. Keep an eye on our page for more photos coming soon!

Together, weโ€™re celebrating the power of research and the people who make it possible.

As part of Learning Disability Week 2026 and this year's theme, , we'd like to shine a spotlight on Opening Doors.

Opening Doors is a user-led charity run by and for adults with learning disabilities in Norfolk. Their work helps people build confidence, have their voices heard, make informed decisions, and live more independent lives. They also work with organisations to improve accessibility, inclusion and co-production.

Opening Doors is a user-led charity run by and for adults with learning disabilities, helping people to build confidence, have their voices heard, make informed decisions and live more independent lives. They also work with organisations to improve accessibility, inclusion and communication.

Last November, we had the opportunity to take part in one of their Easy Read training courses. The training provided valuable insights into making information more accessible and highlighted the importance of communicating in ways that everyone can understand.

We are proud to have worked alongside Opening Doors and to continue learning how we can make our services and communications more inclusive.

Thank you to the team at Opening Doors for the important work you do.

Learning Disability Week 2026 | 15โ€“21 June

This week, we are proud to support Learning Disability Week and this year's theme, "Do You See Me?"

The campaign, led by Mencap, is about ensuring that people with a learning disability are seen, heard and valued in all aspects of life.

At Breckland Alliance, we recognise the strengths, talents and contributions of people with learning disabilities and remain committed to creating inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

This week, let's celebrate achievements, challenge barriers, and help build a society where everyone feels valued, respected and included.

Do you see me?
