So you may have noticed a few changes this year, new treatments, the ability to book two treatments into an hour’s session, a cancellation list and I plan if I can to ensure that those on the cancellation list will get seen by the end of the month.
Unfortunately one new addition is a new GDP law that has come into place. Ever since Covid my profession changed slightly so that those with my level of training could be classed as health care. This separation in massage terms between those of Level 4 and 5 diploma from those of a lower qualification comes with accountability. Whilst regulation for the industry hasn’t yet been introduced except for the regulations that my professional body expects me to follow one thing has changed just this year. I now have to install a complaints procedure which clients will be expected to read and sign to. GDP law states that you not only read the new rules but sign to them to prove you know your rights. I will make the new form as short as possible, a small statement, short paragraph highlighting what to do if you wish to raise a complaint about me or my practice. It’s unfortunate but necessary I do this if I wish to continue to practice, I need to follow the laws set upon me so please 🙏🏽 be patient, I know it’s a slight inconvenience but I’ll make it a quick and simple as I can.
