Did you know that animal physiotherapy and hydrotherapy are not regulated professions? π€
This means that, in some cases, individuals can offer physiotherapy or hydrotherapy services without holding recognised qualifications. That's why it's so important to choose a provider with the appropriate training, experience, and professional memberships; helping to ensure your pet receives safe, effective care.
For physiotherapy, check that your practitioner is registered with a recognised professional body, such as RAMP, NAVP, AHPR or IRVAP. These organisations uphold high professional and educational standards for their members.
When choosing a hydrotherapy provider, look for practitioners who hold at least Level 3 Hydrotherapy qualifications and are members of organisations such as CHA, NARCH, IRVAP or IAAT.
At AVPH, all of our hydrotherapists and physiotherapists are fully qualified and committed to delivering the highest standard of care. You can have complete confidence that your pet is in safe, experienced hands ππΎ
