This will possibly be a controversial post but we see so many dogs that have injuries or require surgery due to damage from owners using ball chuckers.

At local dog walking areas, we see cars pull up, the boot opens and the dog charges out. The owner then whips out the chucker and the dog is off—no warm-up. The dog may have been asleep 10 minutes prior or just eaten, and exercising so soon after can be dangerous for some dogs.
Dogs with any form of orthopaedic condition shouldn't be chasing balls at these speeds, instead exercise should be at a low impact level.

Would you see the top 100m sprinters rocking up to the track after a snooze or meal and immediately pull out a personal best? No, they warm up before the race. Even dart players warm up their throwing arm prior to a match.

Please think about what your actions are doing to your dog.

And YES, your dog will still chase a ball even if they are in immense pain. The adrenaline takes over and they won't think about the damage or pain that chasing the ball may cause themselves.

Do we need to start a campaign??
