โ๏ธ Why do we celebrate the Summer Solstice? โ๏ธ
The Summer Solstice marks the longest day and shortest night of the yearโa celebration of light, life, abundance and connection.
For thousands of years, people have gathered to honour the sun at its peak strength, giving thanks for the warmth, growth and energy that sustains is. It is a time to reflect on how far weโve come, celebrate what is flourishing, and set intentions for the season ahead.
Like we did last year, weโll be celebrating with heat, sea, fire and ritual. Through sauna, breathwork, seaweed and salt scrubs, sea dipping and intention setting around the firepit, weโll honour this special turning point in the year together.
Why Fire Is Important ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Many Litha celebrations include bonfires or fire rituals because fire represents:
* The sunโs power
* Purification
* Transformation
* Releasing what no longer serves us
Writing down fears, worries, or limiting beliefs and offering them to the fire is a symbolic way of making space for new growth.
Why It Pairs So Beautifully with Sauna ๐ฅ๐๐ผ
A Summer Solstice sauna experience naturally mirrors many of these traditions:
๐ฅ Heat and fire honouring the sun
๐ Cold water representing balance and renewal
๐ฟ Salt and seaweed connecting us to the earth and sea
๐ง Reflection and intention setting
๐ค Community gathering and shared experience
Booking is live on the website, spaces are limited โฅ๏ธ
