🏆 We’re award winners! 🏆

We were delighted to attend the 2nd Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council Community Awards last Thursday evening and were absolutely thrilled to receive the Outstanding Community Group Award, presented by Deputy Mayor Cllr Sarah Hudson.

The award recognises Scotts for providing valuable local facilities that enhance residents’ quality of life and support families across the borough.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone who makes Scotts such a special place, from our dedicated staff and volunteers to the residents, service users, families, supporters and wider community who are such an important part of what we do.

A huge thank you to the Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling Cllr Kim Tanner and everyone at Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council for this wonderful recognition. It means a great deal to us!

A couple more of our lovely ladies went on their key day.
They had a trip up to London to see Mamma Mia!
But first they had a look around the National Museum then had a chicken dinner at Nando’s!

They both had an amazing time 🪩🇬🇷

Our Faith and Friendship group looked at the story about ‘The Greatest Treasure In The World’ and discovered that it’s not gold or diamonds but friendship and teamwork!
They enjoyed making puppets and acting out the story.

We recently enjoyed our annual Harvest celebrations with singing and signing.
Our Faith & Friendship group performed a song called ‘Harvest Stew’ with props they’d made!

Thank you to everyone who kindly bought in donations.
Our Gardeners delivered them all to Feast community larder at Tonbridge Methodist Church where they were greatly received 🌾🌾

Our barn is certainly a lovely place for hiring for all sorts of events. We have fitness classes, a choir, and all sorts of activity classes, events and get togethers regularly held at our site with extensive free parking and great facilities.

A special 40th birthday trip to Scotland! 🎉

This trip was one of our resident's personal goals, and it was great to see him successfully achieve it. He chose to stay in a caravan at Haven Seton Sands and had a very busy few days exploring Scotland. He visited Edinburgh, Greyfriars Bobby, Edinburgh Castle, St Giles’ Cathedral, the National Museum of Scotland, Bo’ness Railway, The Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Blackness Castle, Myreton Motor Museum and the National Museum of Flight.

One of the biggest highlights happened before he had even left the aircraft in Edinburgh. While waiting for special assistance, the pilot invited him into the cockpit, where he was able to sit in the pilot’s seat. With his interest in radios and aviation, he absolutely loved it!

It was a fantastic achievement and a lovely example of person-centred support, enabling him to achieve something that was important to him and celebrate his 40th birthday in the way he wanted. 👏💚
