🌻 A Sunny Trip to Darts Farm

This week our lovely Alex took two of our residents to Darts Farm to enjoy the beautiful sunflowers and unwind with a relaxing cuppa in their coffee shop. It was a gentle, joyful outing filled with bright blooms, warm smiles, and plenty of good conversation, just the kind of day we love at Woodland View Lodge. 💛

💙🚒 A Special Visit from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service 🚒💙

We were delighted to welcome Middlemoor Fire Station – Blue Watch to our home today.

During their visit, they spent time looking around the home, reviewing our fire safety procedures, and talking with both residents and staff. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn more about fire safety and get to know the fantastic team who work so hard to keep our communities safe.

A big thank you to Blue Watch Middlemoor for taking the time to visit us. We truly appreciate your support, your professionalism, and the valuable work you do every day.

Most importantly, thank you for everything you do to protect and serve our community. 👏🚒

🎉🎂 Birthday Celebrations at Woodland View! 🎂🎉

It was lovely to celebrate one of our wonderful residents' birthdays recently. She enjoyed a special visit from friends, making the day even more memorable and full of smiles.

Everyone came together to mark the occasion, and of course, there was plenty of delicious birthday cake for all to enjoy! 🍰💕

A big thank you to everyone who helped make her day so special. Wishing her a very happy birthday and many more wonderful celebrations to come. 🎈🎁

🌸🏆 We’re Blooming Proud at Woodland View Lodge! 🏆🌸

Recently, we were delighted to welcome our wonderful Managing Director, Em, and our Head of Care & Quality, Dan, who visited Woodland View Lodge to judge the South West in Bloom Competition.

We are incredibly proud to reveal that we won "Best First Impression"! 🎉🌼

This achievement certainly didn’t come without its challenges. With the recent heat and dry conditions making gardening a tough task, our residents and team worked incredibly hard to keep everything looking its best and it paid off!

🎉🔢 Bingo Fun at Woodland View Lodge! 🔢🎉

There’s always plenty of excitement when it’s time for Bingo at Woodland View Lodge!

Our residents recently enjoyed a fantastic game filled with anticipation, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Eyes were firmly fixed on the cards as numbers were called and everyone hoped to be the first to shout “Bingo!” 😊

Activities like Bingo are a wonderful way for residents to socialise, have fun together, and keep their minds active while creating lots of smiles along the way.

A big well done to all of our players and congratulations to our lucky winners! We’re already looking forward to the next game. 💚

There’s nothing quite like a good game of Scrabble to bring people together! Recently, one of our lovely residents enjoyed a friendly match with a member of our team, with plenty of laughter, conversation, and a little healthy competition along the way.

We treasure these one-to-one moments, as they provide a wonderful opportunity to build relationships, support wellbeing, and spend quality time together doing something enjoyable. 💚

Whether it's finding the perfect word or sharing stories between turns, activities like these help create meaningful connections and happy memories.

🌟💚 Working Together to Support Our Residents 💚🌟

Sometimes our residents need a little extra support with their mobility, and we are so grateful for the fantastic professionals who work alongside us to help them maintain their independence and confidence.

Recently, we were delighted to welcome a member of the amazing Community Rehab Team, who spent time supporting one of our residents. The session was full of encouragement, positivity, and plenty of smiles.

Looking at the photos, we're not quite sure who was having more fun – our wonderful resident or our staff member! 😄

A big thank you to the Community Rehab Team for their ongoing support and dedication. Together, we help our residents stay active, engaged, and enjoying every day to the fullest.

🌞🌻 Enjoying the Garden at Woodland View Lodge 🌻🌞

We are fortunate to have a lovely garden space here at Woodland View Lodge, where residents can relax, enjoy the fresh air, and take part in a variety of outdoor activities.

Recently, June enjoyed a friendly game of Connect 4 in the sunshine. It was wonderful to see her having fun, staying active, and making the most of our beautiful outdoor surroundings. 😊

Spending time in the garden provides a great opportunity for residents to socialise, enjoy nature, and engage in a little healthy competition!

🍪☕ Another Afternoon of Fun at Woodland View Lodge! ☕🍪

Our lovely team member Robyn spent some quality time with residents decorating biscuits, creating some wonderful designs and sharing lots of smiles and laughter along the way.

The beautifully decorated biscuits were then enjoyed with afternoon tea, making for a very special treat! 🧁💛

It's afternoons like these that bring everyone together, encourage creativity, and create happy memories for our residents.

⚽🎉 World Cup Sweepstake Fun at Woodland View Lodge! 🎉⚽

We’ve had lots of fun at Woodland View Lodge during the World Cup, with our residents taking part in a sweepstake and cheering on their chosen teams.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful John, who picked Spain and went on to win first prize in the sweepstake! 🏆👏

Well done, John! We hope you enjoy your winnings. Thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such an enjoyable event. It's always wonderful to see our residents having fun together and getting involved in a little friendly competition.
