🌘 Eclipse Day at Beechmount! 🌘
When our eclipse glasses didn’t arrive in time, we certainly didn’t let that stop us from joining in with the excitement!
We got creative and made our very own eclipse cereal-box viewers, while also keeping an eye on the event safely on the TV. 📺🌒
Our staff even found the highest point of the house and took it in turns to head up and catch a glimpse of the incredible event.
Of course, an event like this was also the perfect opportunity for a little reminiscing. We chatted about the 1999 solar eclipse, sharing memories of where we were, who we were with and what we were getting up to all those years ago. 💭❤️
Sometimes, when plans don’t quite work out, you just need a cereal box, a little imagination and a very determined team! 😂🌘

What a fabulous turnout we had on Sunday! 💛
Beechmount staff and residents were proud to join the South West Care Home Group for the final mile walk, and we were delighted to be joined by The Cinnamon Trust, along with a few very special furry friends. 🐾
What a wonderful charity they are, and what a joy it was to see everyone coming together for such a special day.
A huge well done to everyone involved! 🌟

Another date for your diary in our walking 1000 miles in July challenge! We would love to have you join us for the last mile and to enjoy some lovely refreshments afterwards. We will be meeting at 2pm. Everyone is welcome 🙂👣🍰🥤

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed some fun motor skill games, matching balls to colours and rolling them into a bucket.
We had lots of lovely conversations along the way, both in groups and one-to-one, and it was wonderful to see everyone so happy to join in, have a go, and cheer each other on.
A lovely activity full of smiles, encouragement, and a bit of friendly competition! 💛

Maureen has been showing off her fitness this week by getting her steps in and using the stairs daily.
This morning, she came downstairs and gathered the staff together for a spot of conga! There were laughs and giggles all around as everyone joined in and added even more steps toward our July 1,000 Miles challenge.
What a brilliant way to keep moving, have fun, and start the day with a smile! 💃👣

Jason has been busy finding his feet in the kitchen and already serving up some fantastic fine dining experiences for our residents. 🍽️
Everyone is really enjoying getting to know him — but we have to admit, they may be enjoying his delicious food even more! 😋👏
