Walter C. Parson Funeral Directors Walter C. Parson Funeral Directors is a family business providing personal, professional and respectful funeral services across the South West Peninsula.

Torquay Funeral Directors Walter C. Parson (incorporating Hugh Mills & Gaye) is a family business established in 1842. It has, either by inheritance or acquisition, remained in the family over seven generations. We strive to deliver a first class service, one which would only be acceptable to a member of our own family. We believe, maintaining this strong ethos through our staff and by training them to the highest standards of the profession, we are able to consistently deliver this service to our clients. A short distance from the main shopping area, and fronting the main road, our offices are very easy to locate and there is plenty of parking available at the rear of the premises. Our Torquay office serves Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and the surrounding areas.

Do I have to wait until I have registered the death to speak to the funeral director?

Funeral director Keith Peacock answers:
"No, you are able to sit down with your funeral director to discuss the options available to you. However, until the death has been registered, it would be unwise to decide on dates. If the coroner is involved in the discussion, this also might delay making any bookings. Your funeral director will advise you accordingly."

Our qualified staff are just a phone call away to answer any questions you may have. You can contact us anytime at 01752 76 76 76.

We'd like to invite you to join us in remembering all the little ones who are sadly no longer with us.

Beginning on the 9th of October, Baby Loss Awareness Week offers anyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss a safe and supportive space to share their experiences and feel they are not alone.

The week will culminate on the 15th of October with a Wave of Light. This is where, at 7pm, those wishing to partake can light a candle to remember all babies gone too soon.

For anyone looking for extra support, the BLAW website provides a great list of helpful organisations here: babyloss-awareness.org/support/

🌟🌟 Celebrating 20 years in Newton Abbot and Torquay! 🌟🌟

Walter C. Parson was established in 1842 by current managing director John Ware's great, great, great, great grandfather, who started as a builder and undertaker. The business passed from father to son until 1945 when the business focused exclusively on funerals, slowly expanding until 1999 when there were 4 offices in Plymouth.

In 2006, we acquired Hugh Mills & Gaye, which had 2 premises - one in Newton Abbot and one in Torquay.

In 2015, we opened new premises in Exeter, and the Newton Abbot and Torquay offices were rebranded to Walter C. Parson in 2020.

Today these 3 offices are overseen by Neil, with administrators Alan at Newton Abbot, Amanda at Torquay, and Jo at Exeter.
