GOODBYE CIGGYJUICE - HELLO FRUIT OF THE SHROOM 😎😎😎😎
As you are all now aware, CiggyJuice in Hedge End has closed. This is because both Sue and myself started this business to help people stop smoking, we were also NHS v**e prescribers and worked with the NHS Quit 4 Life team for nearly 9 years, we actually taught a lot of them about v**es in the early days!!
HOWEVER, with this governments introduction of £2.50 per 10ml even on Zero ni****ne has been an over reach that proves beyond any doubt this duty has nothing to do with health, this is all about screwing as much money out of YOU as possible. This is why we decided to quit this fantastic business, the way we do things has become unworkable. the introduction of retailers who all got swept up into selling disposable sweet v**es and as a consequence have now hooked the next generation onto 20mg ni****ne salts (that are so smooth they just dont know they have become totally hooked without knowing) is nothing short of disgusting, but in hindsight, why are we all not surprised 🤷
So, where do WE go from here? WELL, this is quite funny, because most of you know we set up in Hedge End because we used to supply another shop nearby and got them started on their journey, but our liquids were dropped so they could make a few more pennies. That is why we outright purchased our shop outside the Co-op, (yes we own it, its not rented) but as the owners I think some of you will be delighted with the new tennants, some of you will not 😁
Anyway, sorry for waffling on, some of you know we started to sell mushroom tinctures from the Isle of Wight, but although these liquids were and are brilliant, Lions Mane especially for cognitive function, brain fog, concentration etc they contain alcohol and taste like regret in an alcoholics tramps sock and a 1ml dose of that each morning puts most people off as soon as they start, this coupled with the £30 price tag for just 50ml is sadly a joke. So, our plan was ourselves to start to grow these functional mushrooms in one of our industrial buildings in Totton, however, after number crunching, the rates, horriffic energy costs, new NI etc etc it became apparent this was not going to work. So, we teamed up with a company in a country that produces over 90% of the world's organic Lions Mane, and yes, its China, our partners employ over 2 000 people growing mushrooms in season and slso own 200 retail outlets in their country! The only difference between what we will be doing vs other UK producers is providing a product that is Alcohol and water extracted (very important) but once that process has been done our partner evaporates off the alcohol. This gives us a fully extracted product that is Alcohol free, the result a strong product that tastes nice and half the price at just £15 for 50ml!
So there we have it, Fruit of the Shroom, (and our next chapter) was born. We are going to turn this page over to Fruit of the Shroom, so those of you who have no interest in improving your wellbeing please delete us. It has been an amazing journey with each and every one of you, and maybe we will still be seeing each other if you think our mushroom extracts will help you. P.S. We are also looking for any retailers to resell this new product range, so if you are in a face to face business, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to have an exclusive area patch selling what we believe will be a much bigger business than CiggyJuice ever was.
