Su***de Statistics: The Figures Matter. Every Life Matters. 💙

We cannot ignore the figures, and we must ensure we’re sharing accurate, up-to-date information.

The ONS confirms that 6,162 deaths by su***de were registered in England and Wales in 2025. Behind every statistic is a person, a family and a community affected by loss.

At Space 2 Talk, we believe prevention starts throughout our communities — through connection, conversation, peer support, wellbeing walks, coffee mornings, veteran support, mental health awareness and training.

Sometimes, simply bringing people together, listening without judgement and helping someone feel less alone can make a real difference.

Su***de prevention isn’t the responsibility of one organisation. It’s everyone’s responsibility. Community support complements professional services, and we all have a part to play.

We must understand the figures, challenge stigma and turn awareness into action. Every life matters. Every conversation matters.
