Last night we tried something different at Open Circle - two smaller circles instead of one big one!

We want everyone to be able to hear, connect and feel included which was a bit difficult when we had a large circle. It’s not about watching from the sidelines. It’s about being part of something together.

The feedback was great so we think we might just have found our new favourite way to have our circle!

We also had lots of new faces there last night, which is incredible! Thank you to everyone who made last night so special ❤️ 👻

A “no” doesn’t always damage the communication.

What you do after it can.

We’ve watched this happen many times in mediumship development.

The recipient says no.

The medium immediately goes into their head.

“Where did I go wrong?”

“What should I change?”

“I need to get something better.”

Then they try harder.

Search harder.

Think harder.

Usually get more of the same.

Because once the medium starts trying to mentally rescue the contact, their attention has moved away from the communicator and onto themselves.

That’s the habit to recognise.

A “no” doesn’t necessarily mean abandon everything and start searching.

Stay present.

Don’t defend the evidence.

Don’t panic.

Don’t manufacture the next piece.

Return to the communicator.

Feel their personality, their intention and the direction they’re trying to take you.

Then allow the communication to unfold again.

This is where surrender becomes practical rather than simply a spiritual idea.

You’re surrendering the need to fix the moment.

You’re giving the communicator space to lead.

Sometimes the breakthrough after a “no” isn’t receiving more.

It’s doing less.

Less thinking.

Less controlling.

Less rescuing.

More listening to the reality Spirit is already trying to communicate through you.

A “no” can pull you into your head.

Experience teaches you how to return to Spirit.
