A beautiful and very personal Celebration of Life for a much-loved lady. ❤️

Roller skating was a special part of Maria’s life. She had a real talent for it and competed, so it felt only right that her skates played a part in her final farewell. 🛼

Her skates were made even more special when her dear friend Danny lovingly added flowers to them, creating such a unique and personal tribute to something that had brought her so much joy.

But above all, this was a celebration of a lady who was so dearly loved by her family and friends. The memories shared and the love surrounding her farewell were a wonderful reflection of the life she lived and the people whose lives she touched.

A truly personal farewell for a very special lady. 🌸🛼❤️

As another peaceful day draws to a close, our thoughts are with the families whose loved ones are currently in our care and those that are missing someone dear ❤️

We know that for many, there are days filled with sadness, difficult decisions and quiet moments of reflection.

Please know that your loved one is being cared for with the utmost dignity, respect and compassion, just as we would care for one of our own.

We are honoured to provide a place of peace, surrounded by the beautiful Cornish countryside, where every person entrusted to us is treated with kindness and every family is supported with understanding.

To all those missing someone, we are thinking of you. 💛🌅

When families first arrive at our funeral home, one of the first things they often say is…

“It’s so peaceful here.”

Our funeral home is nestled in the Cornish countryside, surrounded by peaceful views and nature. It’s a place where families can step away from the noise of everyday life, take a breath, and simply be together.

We’ve created an environment that feels welcoming, calm and private.

We hope this little video gives you a glimpse of the tranquillity that so many families tell us has brought them comfort during one of the hardest times in their lives.

We are proud to call Wheal Ellen home and privileged to share with the families who place their trust in us.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our independent, family-run funeral home. It means more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When Debbie entrusted us with the care of her beautiful blue-eyed boy, Scott Eddy, we promised to look after him as though he were one of our own.

From the moment Scott came into our care until long after the funeral had taken place, our aim was to support Debbie and her family with kindness, compassion and dignity, while ensuring every wish they had for Scott was honoured.

Receiving this review reminds us why we do what we do.

Thank you, Debbie, for allowing us the privilege of caring for Scott, and for your incredibly kind words. They mean more than you’ll ever know.

To every family who has placed their trust in Carlyon Funeral Directors, thank you. Being invited into your lives at the most difficult of times is something we never take for granted, and it remains the greatest privilege to walk beside you when you need us most. ❤️

Sara Louise Georgina Tregoning ❤️

Yesterday, we had the privilege of carrying out the celebration of life service for the much-loved Sara Louise Georgina Tregoning.

Sara’s service took place at Pencoys Church, Four Lanes, a place that held a very special place in her heart, as it was where she married her beloved husband, Steve, in 2013.

It was a touching tribute that Father Peter Fellows, who had the privilege of marrying Sara and Steve, also conducted her funeral service, bringing comfort to the family and making the occasion all the more meaningful.

The Church was filled to capacity with family and friends who came together to celebrate Sara’s life.

Her family’s beautifully written eulogy, together with a touching slideshow of treasured photographs, created a truly heartfelt tribute that reflected the love so many people had for her.

Following the service, family and friends gathered at The Sportsman’s Arms, a place that meant so much to Sara.

For many years, Sara and her father Roger Barbery proudly ran the pub together, making it a true community hub where so many happy memories were made. It was a fitting place for everyone to come together, share stories, and continue celebrating Sara’s life.

Sara’s family did her incredibly proud.

Steve, Megan, Paul and all of Sara’s loved ones would like to express their sincere thanks for the kindness, love and support they have received, and to everyone who came to pay their respects and celebrate Sara’s life.

A very special thank you to Anna Sawle, a dear friend of the family, for the beautiful floral tributes. Anna also created the flowers for Sara and Steve’s wedding day, making it incredibly touching that she was there to create this final farewell with such love and care. ❤️

An incredible £1,135 has been raised so far for Breast Cancer Now in loving memory of Sara. Thank you to everyone who has donated in her honour and helped support such an important cause. 💕

A stream of yellow 💛

One of the most unforgettable sights we’ve ever had the privilege to witness… 💛

As we made our way down the coast road to say farewell to Martin Hubbard, we were followed by a remarkable convoy of 20 AA patrol vans and support vehicles. A never-ending stream of yellow, travelling together to honour one of their own.

It’s fair to say that if our hearse had broken down, we certainly wouldn’t have been short of assistance! 🚐💛 (Thankfully, touch wood, that’s never happened!)

The sight of so many colleagues giving up their time to accompany Martin and his loving family on his final journey was truly breathtaking.

A fitting tribute to a gentleman who was clearly respected, admired and loved by so many.

Thank you, Martin’s family, for placing your trust in us to care for him, and for your beautiful review. Your kind words mean the world to our small family business. ❤️

I just want to say a huge thankyou to Andrea, Dave and her wonderful team. My husband Martin grew up in Porthtowan and Mount Hawke so this felt so right having you look after him and us during the time leading up to the funeral. From the moment Andrea visited me at home to discuss the funeral, with such care, compassion and understanding, to the day of the funeral, I cannot fault anything. Andrea has such a soft kind approach, nothing was too much trouble, everything I wanted for Martin Andrea sorted. The actual day of the funeral was made so very special by the thought that was put in from Andrea and the team at Carlyon’s, the AA wanted to give Martin an outstanding send off and Andrea worked with them to make it seamless. So many attending the funeral said it was a perfect tribute to Martin and a beautiful service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for us as a family. I would absolutely recommend you to anyone who wants the best for their loved one.

My dad, Graham has always said, “Your best advertisement in business is you.”

Not the fancy adverts, not the leaflets, not the social media posts, but you, your customer service, and your presence.

The way you treat people. The time you give. The support you offer when it’s needed most. The way you make people feel.

When someone takes the time to recommend us to a friend, neighbour, or family member, I hear about it; thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️.

At Carlyon Funeral Directors, we are incredibly grateful for every family who places their trust in us, every review that is written, and every recommendation that is shared.

Because the best advertisement will always be our customer service ❤️
