This is the point where a lot of families feel pushed into a decision they haven't had time to think about. Someone is medically fit to leave, but nobody's confident about them being on their own overnight

A live-in Care Expert can be there from the day they get home, helping with getting about, keeping on top of medication and building confidence back up. Created by Erin at Proud To Care Cornwall , it's a virtual network for under-25s working in adult social care, a place to build connections, share experience, and develop professionally alongside people at the same stage of their career 🤗

The first session is Wednesday 2nd September, 2pm–3pm: an interactive workshop on emotional resilience, with practical techniques Care Experts can use in their day-to-day work 🩵

Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall helps people live safely, confidently and independently at home. Our TDDI complex care service supports customers with significant clinical needs, we are rated outstanding with CQC.

Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall is looking for a Clinical Lead for our TDDI complex care service.

You would be the senior clinical decision maker for a team supporting people with significant clinical needs in their own homes.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse or a Paramedic. There are no shifts and no nights, and you would have complete control of your own diary.

💙 39,000 a year

💙 32 hours a week, hybrid, with potential for a four day week

💙 Active NMC or HCPC registration, and three years' experience from any setting

💙 Funded leadership development, with protected time to study

💙 Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Your background could be a hospital ward, the ambulance service, a care home, a hospice or the community.

A huge THANK YOU to Drums4Fun CIC Graham Kemp for bringing the vibes & the rhythm 🥁 B&K Events for all the lawn games! It became a little competitive 😂 so much fun ⛳️ Community Signing Choirs Cornwall for your beautiful singing & signing 🎶🎤 everyone worked so hard to pull it together 👏🏻

Our staff & customers had the BEST day 🥳 it was great to see so many smiles

We will share more from the day over the next week especially one of our favourite songs ‘Cornwall my home’ 🥹

Your mum or dad doesn't want to give up their life. They just need a bit more help to keep it 💚

August is our busiest month for phone calls, usually from someone who's come down for the week and noticed things have changed since Christmas.

What families tell me is nearly always the same. They've no intention of leaving their home 🏡 & they don't want to stop doing the things they've always done.

That's really what live-in care is for. One of our Care Experts moves in and lives with them, and a big part of the job is keeping life going.

☕ Coffee with the same friends they've had for thirty years 🎳 Down to the bowls club on a Tuesday ⛪ Church, choir, or the garden centre 🌊 A walk along the front when the weather's kind

Alongside that, they help with the everyday things like cooking proper meals, keeping on top of medication, a hand with washing and dressing if that's needed, and someone in the house overnight so nobody's on their own. 🌙

Same home. Same friends. Same garden. Just with somebody there to make sure it all keeps happening. 💚

And you get to go back to being their son or daughter, instead of the one organising everything from four hours away.
