From Copenhagen's colourful streets to Ørgreen HQ, this trip has given us a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship, design and expertise behind every frame.

Sometimes it's good to put your skills to the test!

During our visit to Ørgreen HQ, Andrew took part in a friendly challenge to assemble a frame against fellow attendees, with speed and accuracy both counting.

It's always valuable to learn alongside peers, pick up new ideas and occasionally step outside your comfort zone too.

While there weren't any patients waiting for their spectacles at the end of it, Andrew certainly felt the time pressure of the competition!

Andrew particularly enjoyed hearing Sahra talk about colour and where she finds her inspiration.

Anyone who knows him will know he isn't afraid of a bit of colour himself, so this part of the visit really struck a chord.

It was fascinating to see how much thought goes into creating frames that help people express their individuality. As Andrew often says, “Frames are the first thing we see, so it’s important to get the right shape and colour.”

It was also lovely to hear how Copenhagen itself, particularly the colourful buildings of Nyhavn, inspires many of Ørgreen's colour choices. Once you see the city through that lens, you begin to notice inspiration everywhere.

One of the things that really stood out to us at Ørgreen was the level of expertise behind every frame.

We often think of craftsmanship as one person creating a product from start to finish, but at Ørgreen it's a true team effort, with specialists dedicating years to mastering a single stage of the process.

It was fascinating to see how much skill, patience and precision go into every detail. It gave us an even greater appreciation for the frames we have in practice and the people behind them.

At Ørgreen HQ in Copenhagen, Henrik Ørgreen showed us the design room. Unfortunately, we can't share photos from this top-secret space, but Henrik did give us some fascinating insights into the design process behind every frame.

One thing that really stayed with us was just how much thought goes into every stage of the process.

"Henrik explained that every millimetre and every angle matters, as even the smallest adjustment can completely change how a frame sits and flows." – Andrew
