For the second part of our series for National Eye Health Week, we're looking at dry eye.

Dry eye is one of the most common reasons patients come to see us. Looking after the delicate skin around your eyes and avoiding unnecessary irritation can be a helpful part of your daily routine.

But if your eyes regularly feel dry, gritty, sore or tired, your optician can help you work out what might be causing it and what could help.

Did you know a sight test looks at so much more than just vision?

Your eyes can sometimes give clues about your wider health, as well as showing early signs of eye conditions that may not cause noticeable symptoms.

So even if you think your vision is fine, regular sight tests are an important part of looking after your eyes.
