Cheque Presentation to Cornwall Blood Bikes

Penmount Crematorium was pleased to present a cheque for £17,841.13 to Cornwall Blood Bikes. The total included £17,000 raised through the ICCM Metals Recycling Scheme and £841.13 from fundraising events held at the crematorium.

The ICCM Metals Recycling Scheme responsibly recycles metals recovered following cremation, with families' consent, raising funds for charitable causes while supporting environmental sustainability. Nationwide, the scheme has raised over £23 million for charities.

Cornwall Blood Bikes provides a vital volunteer-led service, transporting blood, medication and other essential medical supplies between healthcare facilities across Cornwall.

We thank the families who support the recycling scheme, everyone who contributed to our fundraising events, and the dedicated volunteers at Cornwall Blood Bikes. We are proud to support such an important local charity.

💚 No one should have to face grief alone.

Cornwall Hospice is offering free bereavement support sessions throughout the summer, providing a welcoming space for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one. The sessions offer the opportunity to talk, receive peer support, access helpful guidance, and simply spend time with others who understand.

At Cornwall Funeral Services, we've seen first-hand the incredible care and compassion that the team at Cornwall Hospice Care provides. Their support makes a real difference to so many people across our community.

Today we were privileged to be at Oakfield Gardens Crematorium in Bedfordshire, to help a wonderful family say farewell to a truly special lady.
It was a journey of more than 300 miles for us, and as such we would just like to extend our thanks to Haseldines funeral services, and celebrant Kate Ward for their amazing help in arranging this funeral.
