We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting bookings for nail reconstruction!

Nail reconstruction provides a custom-made temporary nail that typically lasts between 4-8 weeks. This service is suited to anyone who has been left with very little nail due to previous nail surgery, nail trauma, or fungal nails.

Please note that a full assessment of your nail will be carried out prior to reconstruction to ensure suitability.

We are pleased to announce that we have a new service starting soon.

We will shortly be taking bookings for nail reconstruction to temporarily restore the appearance of damaged or partially missing toenails.

This service is perfect if you are going on holiday and worried about the appearance of your toenails while wearing flip flops or sandals.

What is tinea pedis/athlete's foot?

Tinea is a fungal infection that can cause itching, redness, flaky, blistered, or broken skin, and it can even spread to your nails if left untreated.

Fungus can be spread in communal areas such as swimming pools and changing rooms, and it can even occur due to excessive sweating.

During warmer weather, fungi thrive in the warm, dark, moist environment created by your socks.

Remember:
Change your socks frequently.
Dry in-between your toes thoroughly.
When choosing socks, consider breathable fibres such as a higher cotton percentage or bamboo.

Let's talk ingrown toenails!

What are they?

Ingrown toenails occur when a spicule of nail pierces the surrounding skin, causing redness, pain, and even infection.

Ingrown toenails can be caused by inappropriate footwear, poor nail cutting technique, unusual nail anatomy, biomechanics, or trauma.

Do: see a podiatrist!
soak the toe in warm saltwater
use a clean, sterile dressing

Don't: wear tight shoes
cut down the sides of your nail
attempt to fix it yourself
