🔥Wow Royal Three Counties 2026- what a blast!🌟

This year we were unable to take the sheep, but it did not stop us from bringing home the red ribbons!💪

We had a great time with lots of family, and lovely friends from far and wide over the weekend.

Congratulations to Candy King for taking Champion with her wet cow, and all the other exhibitors, the quality was on top form!

Grace also was kindly leant some sheep for young handlers and came an amazing 1st place in pairs thanks to Rhian Rochford daughter allowing her to show her beautiful sheep and take part with her! I still think they should have taken champion (but then I would be biast!).

What a week, a huge thank you to Rach Bulley and Buster for holding the fort and welcoming new calves into the world for us- we couldnt do it without you!

Also a big thank you to my auntie Mandy Shirley , James Westwood and Gail Westwood for all your help and support it meant so much and was very appreciated! Also a big thanks to my dad on show day for holding animals, prepping and helping in the grand parade!

Wagons roll! Yes that is right- 4 county shows in 4 weeks! 🛻

Today we are off to the Royal Three Counties show.

This is a favourite show of ours as friends and family from far and wide come to enjoy the show together with us and our Dexter cattle, Coloured Ryelands and my sister and Dads Holstein cattle.

The children also get to show in many young handler competitions every day at this show, which is fantastic to help build their confidence and learn new skills. As most shows they only have 1 class.

We will keep you updated over the week, so keep your eyes open 👀.

Moving the flock and young cattle to fresh pasture this morning.

They were happy to be move to fresh grazing between the heavy showers.

Moving them every few days keeps the grass growing and helps them to become used to being handled and moved about, making jobs easier!

What a show South of England Agricultural Society was with the Dexter National Show being held there this year!

There was a fantastic turn out of great cattle from all over the country to support the National Show 2026.

A huge thank you for everyone in the South East for being so welcoming to us from the West!

It was great to meet so many friends, and make new friends from far and wide, but most of all it was so special to us to have Diana Smith with us for the day!

My great friend Di was also the breeder of Harris who is now 15.5YEARS OLD, and walked away with breed CHAMPION! This is probaly a record for the breed. He is a super square, dual purpose but strong, medium sized bull, with a fantastic temperament and topline. We have lots of off spring from Harris, with his latest son being born today!

We had a magical weekend coming home with 🏆 OVERALL CHAMPION
🏆JUNIOR CHAMPION
🏆YOUNG HANDLER CHAMPION
🏆RESERVE FEMALE CHAMPION

We are still on cloud 9, and it feels like a fairy tale, taking 1st place in every class we entered at a National Show (even if we are now flat out trying to catch up with the farm chores and our off farm jobs, as well as recovering from the show!)
