🌟 About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and practical Maintenance Person to join our dedicated team at Richmond Care Home. You will ensure our residents live in a safe, comfortable, and well maintained environment. This role is vital to the daily running of our home and the well-being of our residents.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities
• Carry out general repairs and routine building maintenance.
• Complete regular safety checks on fire alarms, emergency lighting, and water temperatures.
• Maintain and undertake painting, decorating, and basic carpentry or plumbing tasks as required.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests from the home manager.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialised servicing and inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of all health and safety checks.

👤 About You
• Proven experience in a general maintenance, DIY, or handyperson role.
• An understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH, fire safety) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
• Warm, compassionate personality with patience and respect for elderly residents.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS check (completed upon appointment).

The Richmond is delighted to announce that our Annual Summer Fayre will take place on Saturday 29th August.

We’re busy planning a fantastic day for our residents, families and the local community, with more exciting details to be announced next week.

We’re currently looking for:

🎁 Raffle prizes
🎟️ Tombola donations

If you or your business would like to have a stall, please call in and see us or telephone the home to reserve your space.

We would also be incredibly grateful for any raffle or tombola donations. Every contribution helps make the day extra special for our residents.
