Gratitude isn’t about ignoring life’s challenges—it’s about noticing what is still good, even when life feels busy. 🩵
On Friday, I had the privilege of delivering a Gratitude for Wellbeing workshop to the leadership team at The Kite Academy Trust at the Wi******er Hotel & Spa.
Together, we explored how taking just a few minutes each day to practise gratitude can have a meaningful impact on our mental wellbeing, resilience, and relationships.
The session included mindfulness, breathwork, gratitude conversations, guided journaling, and a simple gratitude strategy that colleagues can continue long after the workshop.
Some of the key takeaways included:
✨ Gratitude can help reduce stress and improve emotional wellbeing.
✨ It strengthens relationships by encouraging appreciation and connection.
✨ It can improve optimism, resilience, and even sleep quality.
✨ It’s not about pretending everything is perfect—it’s about creating space to recognise what is going well.
One of the most meaningful parts of the session was the guided journaling. Through a series of reflective prompts, everyone took time to appreciate the people, experiences, strengths, and opportunities that often get overlooked in the busyness of everyday life.
Sometimes, all it takes is five minutes to shift your perspective.
A huge thank you to Nicola, Jeremy and Amy for the opportunity to facilitate the session and for your commitment to investing in the wellbeing of your leaders.
My hope is that everyone who attended leaves with a simple gratitude practice they can build into their daily lives and experiences the positive impact that comes from practising it consistently.
What are you grateful for today? Share one thing in the comments—I’d love to read it.
