Community Pilates is back 💛

From Wednesday 9th September, Sara will be bringing our Community Pilates classes back to FIX - and they really are for everyone.

Never done Pilates before? Come along.
Been practising for years? Come along.
Can’t touch your toes? We don’t care.
Not entirely sure what Pilates actually involves? Also completely fine.

Every class is adaptable and scalable to you, your body and your experience. The aim is simply to give you an accessible way to move, feel active and take a little time for yourself in the middle of the week.

And accessible means financially, too.

Classes are just £6

Being part of our local community means a lot to us at FIX, and finding ways to make movement more accessible while giving something back is something we’re really proud to be able to do.

Alternating Wednesdays and Mondays from 9th September | 12.30pm | 45 minutes | £6 per class

All levels and abilities welcome

Community Pilates returns next week. Head to our website to book your place - we’d love to see you there.

Meet Max 👋

Max is an osteopath and massage therapist at FIX, with over a decade of experience in bodywork - and a pretty simple goal when someone walks through the door: to help get them out of pain and back to doing the things they love as quickly as possible.

She works with people of all ages and from all walks of life, whether you’re dealing with an injury, managing ongoing pain, trying to get back to sport, or simply want to move and feel better in your body.

Alongside osteopathy and massage, Max specialises in Paediatric and Visceral Osteopathy and draws on a wide range of techniques including dry needling, fascia and scar work, and rehabilitation.

Her approach is always tailored to the person in front of her - because feeling better isn’t just about treating where it hurts, it’s about understanding what’s going on and helping you get back to your life.

And when she’s not at FIX? You’ll most likely find her swimming or practising yoga. 🏊‍♀️🧘‍♀️

Want to know whether Max could help with something you’ve been dealing with? Get in touch with the FIX team or book an appointment via the link in bio.

Ever finished a workout and wondered... "Is this normal?"
Understanding the difference between muscle soreness and pain can help you know when to keep moving—and when to seek advice.

💪 Muscle Soreness (DOMS)
Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) is common after trying a new activity or increasing the intensity of your training.
You might notice:
✔ Aching muscles 24–72 hours after exercise
✔ Tenderness when you move
✔ Mild stiffness
✔ It gradually improves over a few days
DOMS is a normal response to exercise and usually settles on its own.

⚠️ Pain
Pain is different.
It may:
✖ Come on suddenly during activity
✖ Feel sharp, stabbing or persistent
✖ Cause swelling or instability
✖ Stop you from doing everyday activities
✖ Get worse rather than better
If that's the case, it's worth getting assessed.

Supporting your recovery
To help ease muscle soreness and recover well, you can:
✔ Keep moving with gentle activity
✔ Stay hydrated
✔ Prioritise sleep
✔ Eat enough protein
✔ Consider a sports massage to help reduce muscle tension and support recovery.

If you're unsure whether you're dealing with normal muscle soreness or an injury, our team is here to help.

Fabulous Fabio, at it again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From back pain to lifting stronger than ever.
There's nothing more rewarding than seeing our clients get back to doing what they love and even surpassing where they started.
Fabio combines osteopathy with strength & conditioning to help people not only recover from injury, but build resilience and confidence for the future.

As this client shared:
"I came in with severe back pain following an injury... I have now made a full recovery and I'm deadlifting and squatting more than ever before."

Recovery isn't just about reducing pain. It's about understanding your body, moving well, and having the confidence to return to the activities you enjoy.
A huge thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We're delighted to have been part of your journey.

📍 Looking for support with an injury or persistent pain? Book an appointment with Fabio at Fix London and let's get you moving again.

⭐ If you've visited us recently, we'd love to hear about your experience. Your feedback helps others find the care they need.

"Motion is lotion."

It's a phrase you'll often hear in clinic and for good reason.

When you're in pain, it's natural to think you should stop moving. But for many muscle and joint conditions, the right type of movement can actually help:
✔ Reduce stiffness
✔ Improve joint mobility
✔ Build strength
✔ Boost confidence in your body
That doesn't mean pushing through pain or ignoring an injury.
It means finding the right approach for your body.
At Fix London, every treatment plan starts with a thorough assessment. Depending on your needs, we may recommend a combination of:

• Physiotherapy
• Osteopathy
• Acupuncture
• Reformer Pilates
• Sports Massage
• Strength & Conditioning
• Shockwave Therapy
• Ultrasound-Guided Injections

Recovery isn't about finding one treatment that works for everyone, it's about finding the right treatment for you.

"Should I just rest it?"

It's one of the most common questions we hear in clinic.
While rest is important after some injuries, complete rest isn't always the fastest route to recovery.
For many back, neck and joint problems, the right type of movement can help reduce stiffness, maintain strength and get you back to doing the things you enjoy.
The challenge is knowing what to do and when.
That's where an appointment with one of our experts makes all the difference.

Every injury is different, so rather than guessing, let us help you find the right approach.

Have you ever been told to "just rest"? Did it help?

Pain doesn't always mean you've caused damage.

It might sound surprising, but pain and injury aren't always the same thing. Think of pain like your body's alarm system. Sometimes that alarm is accurate, it tells you something needs protecting.

Other times, the alarm becomes extra sensitive and starts sounding long after the tissues have healed.
That's why:
✔ You can have severe pain with very little tissue damage.
✔ You can also have significant tissue changes with very little pain.

At Fix London, we don't just treat where it hurts, we work to understand why it hurts.

Our goal is to help you move with confidence again, using assessment, education and a personalised treatment plan.

Have you ever been told your scan looked "bad" even though you felt okay? Or the opposite? We'd love to hear your experience.
