Not posted in a while but we’ve been busy. We recently completed this important project during half term at Infocus site in Exeter. They have had multiple issues with the existing soak away design and drainage caused numerous flooding events at this school. We were able to work with the Estates team to get solution and plan the works.

We completed the works in 8 days over half term period minimising disruption using the main drop off/ pickup area.

Work included a new 3m deep attenuation chamber, replacement of 40LM of new drainage, new road spec Inspection chamber, silt trap unit, topsoil & tarmac reinstatement works.

Thanks to our guys that worked on the challenging project and enabled us to complete on time.

Customer asked us to help with a small workshop/garage reduce dig, stone up and foundation pour in a 200mm thick c40/35 with double A393 10mm mesh layer raft was laid. With very difficult access work had to be thought through. Customer now has a smooth streak free bull float finish floor. Built to last. Ready for customer to build the walls. Can’t wait to see the finished build.

Installation of a 15,000 litre storm attenuation system, with a silt trap filter at a specialist education school in Exeter last week. The old system was blocked up and not functioning any more causing damage to corridors flooding in heavy rain. Working together with the Estates team we found a location and got a new one installed and working with in a 4 day period to minimise disruption.

Crossover completed this week. Liaising with Devon County Council, licensing for Section 171 approved.

All works completed within the 5 days allocated, cut back to the road, stone up, Ironworks bedded, and supply and lay of 150mm reinforced C40 brush finished concrete surface.

We can provide RAMS if required. We have availability for small jobs within 1-2 weeks notice and larger projects May 2025 onwards.

Back working at Tremletts Quay in this horrible weather, re-using large concrete blocks on site to widen what will be a new access way.

Vegetation clearance & excavation in preparation for gabion baskets being installed. We’ve installed an extension of the culvert to allow us to build up the land for parking and a footpath.

Replacement 95sq.m tarmac entrance driveway now completed. Work involved removal of the old patchwork quilt of a drive. Excavated total 300mm deep, new back edgers, topsoil flower beds, stone up, 50mm binder course & 25mm SMA surface course. Overbanding sealing the new to the existing crossover. All completed within 5 days. Proper job👌

New week, new job. 420sq.m gravel lane and driveway. 80 sq.m tarmac section. Keep us busy for a bit.

A very difficult access job in Thorverton completed, a great job done by Matt & the team.
We have helped dig & stone up a new access road, dug foundations for the 2 bed bungalow, run drainage and helped sort the logistics, planning & labour with the 35 cubic metre concrete pour. Including obtaining a section 171 allowing the lorry’s to legally discharge from the highway.

After lots of work from the guys🙏 & myself 😅, we are now pleased to annouce our SSIP Accreditation.

Our team now holds:

- SSSTS
- Streetworks Operatives & Supervisor (Units 1-6 & 8
- NPORS Excavator Wheeled & Tracker above and below 10T
- NPORS Dumper, MEWP, Road Roller, Tele-handler, Excovator as crane, Slinger & Signaller.
- Manual Handling & Abrasive Wheel Training
- Cat & Genny Training
- First Aid Training

Our training will continue through the year ready for a push into a new sector for 2025.

Well done to Matthew Tett for passing his (NRSWA) Streetworks Operative Training & Exams last week. A lot more work than we expected but it’s done now. Onwards and upwards 👌
