The family of the late Stan Hastie have asked us to share the following;

HASTIE
Peacefully, at home in Cupar, on Monday 8th June 2026, Stan, aged 68, of Cupar. Much loved and cherished husband of Mary, son of Rita and the late Ron, brother to Caroline, stepdad to Sarah, dad to Ruairidh and Alasdair, father in law of Laura, grandad to Freya and Romilly, brother-in-law to Andrew, uncle to Victoria, Nicola and Chris, great uncle to Alfie Austin, Arthur, and good friend to many. Funeral service in Brewsterwells Crematorium on Thursday June 25th at 1pm, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. Family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers may be made at the crematorium for the British Heart Foundation. Stans family request that people wear whatever they feel comfortable in.

Your cards and messages have brought great comfort during this difficult time.Special thanks to Rev Michael Okpara for his very kind words and to Angela Maughan for the beautiful Eulogy she gave at the church. The family of the late Patricia Buttercase have asked us to share the following acknowledgement;

The family of the late Patricia (Patsy) Buttercase would like to express their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their kindness, support and sympathy following their recent loss. Your cards and thoughtful messages have brought great comfort during this difficult time.

Very special thanks to Gavin Black for his very kind words before and the very warm atmosphere during the services that Patsy would have loved. Thank you also for everyone that attended, from near and far, to pay their respects at St John’s Church and Brewsterwells Crematorium, for which we are most grateful.

An extended special thanks to Steven Shaw of Steven Stewart Funeral Directors for his care and compassion and for all his help in arranging the services.

Pauline, Jodie, Curtis, Rab and Lindsay are missing Pauline terribly but would like to say thank you.
To friends, family, neighbours and colleagues for the lovely cards, flowers, gifts, food and wine, as well as love and support.
Special thanks to Angela McCormack for conducting Pauline's funeral with genuine empathy. To Rhys and all at Steven Stewart's for their compassionate and efficient service and to everyone who worked tirelessly at Freuchie Bowling Club.
The generosity has been overwhelming in many ways and £1189.40 was raised in aid of Ward 34 day unit, Victoria Hospice and Marie Curie.

Peacefully, at the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, on Sunday May 24 2026, Sandy, aged 83, of Edentown. Devoted husband of Margaret, loving dad to Catherine, Keith, Walter, William, Sandy, Gareth, Triston, Abi and Luke, father in law, brother and much loved grandad, and dear friend to all who knew him.

Passed away after a short illness on Sunday 24th May 2026. Mark aged 64 years of Cupar. Beloved husband of Lisa, much loved dad of Mandy, Shann and Evan, a doting grandad to Jessica, Jacob, Alfie, Charlotte and Roman, also a dear son-in-law, brother, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and a good friend to all who knew him. Funeral service on Thursday 11th June in Brewsterwells Crematorium at 1.00pm to which all family and friends are warmly invited. Suddenly, at home, on Thursday 30th April 2026. Hamish Reid Imrie(of Newcairnie, Cupar, formerly Crail) aged 67 years. Much loved son of the late Murdoch and Sadie, also a loving brother, uncle and a good friend to many. Sadly missed.

Peacefully at home, after a courageous battle, fought with dignity and humour, on Wednesday 20th of May. Pauline Russell, aged 58. Adored wife of Pauline, amazing mum to Jodie, Curtis and Princess Perry. Loving sister to Rab and Lindsay, much-loved auntie, cousin and a friend to all. A strong, brave and funny woman who will always be the missing piece in her family's life. Peacefully on Thursday 7th May 2026 at Adamson Hospital, Joseph (Joe) age 83 years, loving and loved husband of Sandra, dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend.
