Leonard Arthur Simmons of Cullompton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital on Sunday 23rd August 2026 aged 94 years. Leonard will be deeply missed by his loving family.

A private family only funeral service in memory of Leonard will take place at Taunton Deane Crematorium on Friday 18th September 2026 at 9.30am. However people are invited to watch Leonard’s service online with the webcasting details below:

Ann Condliffe of Wellington, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday 11th August 2026 aged 86 years. Ann will be deeply missed by her loving family, friends and all that had the honour of knowing her.

The team at Robson’s Funeral Services are organising a charity sponsored walk to raise money for the West Somerset Food Cupboard. With options to complete the 8.5 mile challenge or full 17 mile challenge. We’d love for you to join us!

Saturday 10th October 2026
Meeting point: Morrisons Car Park, Vulcan Road, Minehead, TA24 6DG.
Start Time: 9:00am

The team will be walking together from Minehead to Watchet, taking in the beautiful Somerset coast path along the way. Bring your friends, family and walking boots and come along for a great day out while supporting a fantastic local cause. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference.

For anyone who doesn’t want to complete the full 17 miles, you can choose to finish in Watchet after 8.5 miles and make your own arrangements to return to Minehead. Buses run approximately every 50 minutes, or you can arrange a taxi or lift.

John Albert Roberts of Burnham On Sea, passed away peacefully at Weston Hospital on Friday 7th August 2026, aged 89 years. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A funeral service in memory of John will take place on Wednesday 9th September 2026, at 1.30pm at Sedgemoor Crematorium. Donations in memory of John are being collected for Cancer Research UK and may be made at the service or online at www.funeralguide.co.uk/146913. Wayne Anthony Bilton will make his final journey through Bridgwater, passing a place that meant so much to him, The Golden Ball Pub on Bridgwater High Street at 1pm. Wayne spent many happy hours there, making it a fitting place for his cortège to pass as he begins his final journey.

For anyone who is unable to attend Wayne’s funeral service but would still like the opportunity to say goodbye and pay their respects, you are warmly welcome to gather outside The Golden Ball and be there as Wayne’s final journey passes at 1pm.

The cortège will then continue to Sedgemoor Crematorium, where Wayne’s funeral service will take place at 1.30pm.

Today, we remember those who are no longer with us and offer a gentle thought to everyone carrying the loss of someone they love.

Sheila Nicholls of Watchet (Former Headteacher of Bournes Green Infant school), passed away peacefully at Musgrove Park Hospital on Monday 24th August 2026 aged 104 years. Sheila will be deeply missed by her loving family.

A private service in memory of Sheila will take place at Taunton Deane Crematorium.
