Repost.
I made this quite a while ago, when most of what I was talking about was ADHD.
My content’s expanded a lot since then, because honestly, following that thread has taken me into much bigger conversations around overwhelm, burnout, capacity, identity, and what happens when you’ve spent years feeling like you should be able to cope better than you actually can.
But this one still stands.
ADHD isn’t just the funny, chaotic, forgetful stuff people like to show online.
For a lot of people, there’s a much harder side to it as well.
And I think that was probably the start of me wanting to talk about that side of things a lot more.
Not just the obvious or relatable bits, but what actually sits underneath them.
The emotional regulation, the overwhelm, the way it affects how you see yourself, and how you cope when life gets difficult.
I’m not an ADHD coach.
ADHD is just one part of a much bigger conversation I’m interested in — what happens underneath all of this stuff, why we struggle the way we do, and how we actually find our way through it.
