Cancer patients have praised the care they receive at Wirral University Teaching Hospital in the latest National Cancer Patient Experience Survey 💙
Patients gave their overall cancer care at WUTH an average rating of 8.9 out of 10, with the Trust improving its results across 29 areas compared with the previous year.
The results also showed:
🔹 91% of patients said the time they waited at a clinic or day unit for cancer treatment was ‘about right’, compared with 80% nationally.
🔹 85% felt the wait for diagnostic test results was ‘about right’, above the national average.
🔹 Patients reported positive experiences of being treated with dignity and respect, having a named point of contact and receiving information about the support available to them.
