TARDE TROPICAL 🌴🌺🍹💃

Our tropical afternoon gave us a chance to celebrate all things Latino, from piña colada’s & plantain chips to shaking maracas & wiggling hips!

We had a very vibrant afternoon exploring music from all across the Caribbean, while learning how different cultures enjoy celebrating.

Casino Royale Afternoon.. 🎰🃏🎲💷

We spent the afternoon feeling lucky as we turned our lounge into a little casino with spot of roulette & blackjack.
Accompanied by a glass of strawberry spritz, we spent time socialising & placing bets.

An atmosphere filled with 1950s jazz & laughter, we certainly had a ball & even some big winners..

but of course the house won.. as always!

We were invited by “Re-engage” a UK charity group who host social events to help end loneliness & bring the older community together.

We had a lovely time in Urmston at a social sing-a-long event, sharing a spot of lunch and of course having a good old sing and dance with lots of new faces.

We even had little G&T (non-alcoholic) to celebrate a great time together.

Thank-you for the invitation - we are looking forward to meeting you all again soon!

We recently introduced the newest member of our Manorhey family to our wonderful residents.

“Marmalade” the interactive cat was kindly donated to us & has become the most loved member of the team.

Marmalade is a companion pet who responds to motion & touch, with life-like fur, a vibrating purr & sweet little meows. (She even rolls over for belly rubs!)

She has brought so much joy & comfort to our residents, leaving their hearts full & smiles wide each time she leaves.

What a wonderful way to merge technology & care.

For International beer day what else could we do other than turn up the tunes, crack open the beers & have a good old boogie.

We had a great time socialising while taste-testing a variety of beers paired with your classic pub grub snack, the good old crisp.

Alongside some table pool & football, everyone let loose with laughter & enjoyed time well spent together.

We had another heartwarming visit from our friends at “The Little People Pre-School”.

We had a very energetic morning engaging in a variety of fun games with a few added dance moves & sing-a-longs.

Everyone expressed how wonderful it was to have these little visitors, they really brightened up the day.

We have had none stop positive feedback & requests for them to come visit us on a regular basis.

Such a fun way to bring together generations..

We hope to see our little friends again soon.

We want to thank everyone who came to support us at our SUMMER FAIR, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
We managed to raise a great amount of money from the raffle and all our stalls, which will go towards some great trips out for our wonderful Manorhey family.

We had a fantastic time hosting our inter-home JUST BOWL tournament.

We welcomed teams from different MMCG homes to join us in a friendly tournament, which gave everyone a chance to socialise with new people and share some competitive spirit.

Manorhey’s team name was “The Buzzing Bowlers”...
and we certainly stung like a bunch of bees as we finished the day WINNERS!

The day of our yearly summer trip dawned brightly, with blue skies and sunshine setting the tone for plenty of seaside fun. After a fun journey full of singing, smiling and snacking, the Myley bus pulled up in Llandudno, arguably one of the most beautiful coastal towns in Wales.

First on the agenda was simply to sit on the promenade, facing the calm sea to quietly admire its azure beauty and relish the feeling of the warm, gentle breeze. We then made our way towards the pier, which was full of vibrant colours, sounds and aromas.

Everyone knows that the sea air sparks the appetite and so the residents thoroughly enjoyed tucking into a portion of classic fish and chips, accompanied by the evocative sound of seagulls.

Our fantastic Myley driver decided on the spur of the moment that the residents would enjoy taking a drive right to the top of the famous Great Orme before we left Wales. Everyone loved the sweeping views and knowledgeable commentary.

All in all, the trip was beyond brilliant!
