Staff and service users at Cheswold Park Hospital have covered the distance from London to Birmingham in a charity challenge which saw them stepping around their sports hall. 🚶

20 service users and supportive staff members stepped up to cover over 110 miles – a massive 2,201 laps of the sports hall and a total of 220,100 steps! 👏

Through step sponsorships and selling much-deserved refreshing smoothies from the hospital’s patient-run café, Chesbucks, participants also managed to raise £143.15 for the Trust’s charity, EyUp NHS Charity.

We're making significant progress towards our sustainability ambitions with the installation of 1,326 solar panels across Fieldhead Hospital, including rooftop arrays and a new solar carport at Newton Lodge.

Once fully operational, the scheme is expected to generate around 880,240 kWh of renewable electricity each year, helping to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy resilience across the site.

The project forms part of a wider programme of sustainability initiatives across the Trust, helping us reduce our environmental impact while supporting the NHS ambition to become the world's first net zero national health service.

We have successfully launched a new Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) in our Adult ADHD Service.

The new system allows prescribers to send prescriptions electronically to a community pharmacy chosen by the service user, helping to make the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for both patients and staff.

This milestone marks the first phase of a wider roll out across our services, supporting our ongoing commitment to improving care and modernising how we work.
