Next Chapter - NW CIC

Next Chapter - NW CIC We support children over 8, families, adults and professionals to improve mental health and well being across England, Wales and beyond. I WILL. WATCH ME.

Next Chapter is where personal development, well-being, and education meet, offering a safe and supportive space that truly sees you; your story, your struggles, your strengths, and the experiences that have shaped who you are today. We work with adults, children aged 8+, parents, and families, taking a holistic approach to understanding your needs and creating a bespoke pathway, to create change

together. Whether through 1:1 support, workshops, courses, or groups, we help you find the strength and confidence to set goals and say: I CAN.

WE DID IT!!! Simply wow. What a day!

Firstly, to Rotary for making today such a success, again, for the 40th year, we see the effort that goes into this event, giving your time so generously to support so many. Thank you for creating such a wonderful, well organised event, capturing people’s stories and empowering our community to come together to make an impact.

To those who have sponsored us, thank you so, so much. We are incredibly proud of every single member who walked today, including family members and so excited to watch our youth group grow and unfold. Your support enables our fabulous youth group to shape their club, opportunities to make memories and skills they will carry through life.

And to Layla and Lily, well done for completing the full walk, when our target was 12k!!

If you would still like to donate, check out our Go fund me link on our page.

Hey everyone!

To those who have so generously donated, thank you, it’s means so much to us all.

For those who haven’t… We are participating in the Wirral Coastal Walk tomorrow.

If you would be generous enough to donate a few ££’s to support our mission, we’d be hugely grateful. Every £1 makes such a difference.

Wow. This is powerful. Really powerful.

Therapy isn’t just about healing our own wounds. It’s about recognising and healing what we’ve been carrying for generations, things that were handed to us, even though they were never ours to hold.

It takes immense courage to acknowledge them, work through them, and finally put them down.

That’s how generational cycles end.

Burnout doesn’t usually arrive all at once. It creeps in through long days, missed breaks, and constantly putting yourself at the bottom of the priority list.

The past few weeks have been full-on, and there’s no sign of things slowing down just yet.

Running a business. Supporting volunteers. Delivering services. Driving innovation. Being present for my wonderful partner, friends and family.

And somewhere in all of that, it’s easy for my own wellbeing to slip to the bottom of the list.

Today, after smashing through a mountain of morning admin, I made myself get to the gym. Knowing I’m working seven days this week and won’t be finishing until 10pm tonight, it felt even more important.

Burnout prevention isn’t about waiting until you’re exhausted. It’s about making small decisions before you get there.

My top 3 burnout prevention tips:

✅ Schedule yourself like you schedule everyone else.
If it’s not in the diary, it probably won’t happen. Protect time for exercise, rest and recovery as fiercely as you protect meetings.

✅ Notice the warning signs early.
Poor sleep, irritability, brain fog, lack of motivation and feeling overwhelmed are often the first indicators that something needs to change.

✅ Stop treating self-care as a reward.
You don’t earn the right to look after yourself once everything is finished. For many of us, the work is never finished.

The reality is that the people who care most often push themselves the hardest.

Looking after yourself isn’t selfish. It’s what allows you to keep showing up for everyone else.

What helps you prevent burnout when life gets busy?

We could not be prouder of every single member of our games and youth group.

From our mentors, who have dedicated so much of their time over the past two years and grown into incredible young people who inspire, guide, and support our younger members, to every participant who brings kindness, enthusiasm, and commitment to our wonderful group , each person plays a vital role in what we have built

If you are able to sponsor us, even with just a few pounds, we would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps us continue to grow our vision of what youth provision should be: a place where young people learn accountability, responsibility, connection, and the skills and confidence to shape their futures.

Thank you for supporting our journey.
