Cerato is the remedy for the lack of belief in our own judgement. 🤷 We rely on the opinions of others, seeking advice before making a decision for ourselves. 💭
After the decision is made problems can arise, as doubts creep in we are no longer sure if what we have decided is right. 😓
Cerato helps our minds to settle and calm, allowing us to listen to our inner voice and follow our own instincts. 🧘

In his book Free Thyself, Dr Bach shares his philosophy of nurturing the soul.🌷⁠⁠
If we lead with kindness in our hearts, it opens the door to happiness and this notion can be taken with us day-to-day as we come across various obstacles in our path. ⛵️
Dr Bach emphasises: “Health depends on being in harmony with our souls” 💫⁠
If we steer away from our own unique path in life, we may find ourselves unhappy, tip-toeing around another’s dislikes, dreams or interests, and lose ourselves along the way. 💭
Emphasising this, in his writings, Dr Bach quotes Shakespeare: “To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.” 📖⁠
To understand and follow the dictates of our soul, through grace and love, we know that we are on the right path, and finally, as Dr Bach said: “our souls will guide us, if we will only listen”.⁠

Enjoy lunch in our Cafè, Nora’s Kitchen, and explore the house and garden. ☕️💐
Outside you’ll be able see many of the remedy flowers in bloom as you take a wander through the linked, and sometimes hidden, pathways in Mount Vernon’s garden, 🪴 or take a seat by the pond as you listen to the birds in the trees and allow the world to pass by.🐦‍⬛
Inside, feel transported back in time! 🕰️ Much of the house has been restored to the time of Dr Bach and while here, you can take a deep dive into Dr Bach’s work and the history of the Bach Centre in our three museum rooms 📚🌷

Chicory 🌸
Chicory is the remedy for those who are full of love ❤️ They want to share this love in every way they can and are great people to rely on in difficult times 🌸
However due to this, the Chicory personality can feel slighted if they don’t receive this same unconditional and devotional love in return 💔
When we fall into this negative state the, Chicory remedy can help our positive side to emerge and allow for a more free spirited love to take centre stage without the expectancy of reciprocation ✨
In his book Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, Dr Bach explains the Chicory personality: “Those who are very mindful of the needs of others; they tend to be over-full of care for children, relatives, friends, always finding something that should be put right. They are continually correcting what they consider wrong, and enjoy doing so. They desire that those for whom they care should be near them.” 📚

Rock Rose 🌼
Rock rose is the remedy for terror and is one of five remedies used in Dr Bach’s emergency formula, his only combination remedy, otherwise known as Rescue Remedy 💐
The sun method is used to make the Rock Rose remedy and is one of the first stages in it’s creation - see above ☀️
In his book the Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, Dr Bach describes Rock Rose: “The remedy of emergency for cases where there even appears no hope. In accident or sudden illness, or when the patient is very frightened or terrified or if the condition is serious enough to cause great fear to those around. If the patient is not conscious the lips may be moistened with the remedy.“

Mimulus is the remedy for known fears. 🌼 If you can name the fear, then this is the remedy for you. 🤍
If your fear causes real terror however, then Rock Rose may be more beneficial 🤍 Or, you may not be able to name the fear and are feeling a general anxiety and apprehension, then Aspen is the remedy that can help 🌳
Mimulus can also help those who tend to be timid, nervous or shy in personality. 🫣 Mimulus helps to bring out the quiet courage and strength inside of us, so that we can face the everyday trials of life without fear 💪
In his book The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies, Dr Bach says: “Fear of worldly things, illness, pain, accidents, poverty, of dark, of being alone, of misfortune. The fears of everyday life. These people quietly and secretly bear their dread, they do not freely speak of it to others.” 📖
