At Croft Dene Care Home, we understand that comfort, purpose, and emotional connection can come in many forms.
Our residents recently enjoyed some time with doll therapy, a person-centred approach that can provide reassurance, companionship, and a sense of nurturing for those living with dementia. For many individuals, holding and caring for a doll can evoke positive memories, encourage communication, and bring feelings of calm and wellbeing.
The smiles, gentle interactions, and moments of connection we witnessed were truly heartwarming and a wonderful reminder of the importance of tailoring care to each person's unique needs and experiences.
It's often the simplest moments that have the greatest impact. 💚

🐾 A Very Special Visitor at Kara Healthcare 🐾

Sometimes, the smallest paws leave the biggest footprints on our hearts.

We were delighted to welcome Ruby the dog to our care home, bringing with her plenty of tail wags, cuddles, and smiles. From gentle strokes and warm embraces to moments of laughter and conversation, Ruby's visit created a wonderful atmosphere of comfort and connection for our residents.

Animal visits can have a remarkable impact on wellbeing, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness, encourage social interaction, and spark treasured memories. Most importantly, they bring joy—and Ruby certainly did just that.

Thank you, Ruby, for brightening our day and reminding us of the special bond between people and animals. We can't wait to welcome you back soon! 💚
