Unisus is a rapidly expanding care provider that received a “GOOD” rating from CQC in October 2019. Our services support individuals with disabilities and health conditions throughout the North East.
**Work Hours:**
Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with a 4-on, 3-off shift pattern from 7 AM to 11 PM, including one weekend on and one weekend off.
**Pay:**
Earn up to £12.15 per hour for those with advanced training and experience. We also compensate travel time, waiting time, and mileage at £0.25 per mile. Plus, enjoy an extra £0.50 per hour on weekends!
**Training:**
All team members participate in a PAID four-day induction to equip you with essential skills, alongside ongoing online training. We aim to help our team members excel with opportunities for fully funded NVQ Level 2 & 3 courses. Plus, sign up for our 'Cooking for Care' class at our office to learn to prepare nutritious meals for our clients.
**Induction Schedule** (all sessions from 9:30 AM):
- Tuesday: Welcome to Unisus
- Wednesday: Medication Training Theory
- Thursday: Basic Life Support Theory & Practice
- Friday: Moving and Assisting Theory & Practice
**Location:**
Community-based, with opportunities in Newcastle and North Tyneside.
**Job Purpose:**
Help clients with disabilities and health issues lead healthier, safer, and more rewarding lives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Follow personalized care plans
- Respond to client needs and changes
- Report safeguarding concerns
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Help with meal preparation and eating
- Accompany clients to appointments
- Support transportation access
- Sleep-ins at client homes
- Administer medications as per care plans
- Collaborate with colleagues and attend team meetings
- Maintain health and safety protocols
- Protect client confidentiality
- Follow Unisus policies and procedures
- Support clients in achieving employment through our programs
