This week, we’re introducing Michael, one of our experienced Funeral Operatives who has been part of the Dean Harper team for approximately 12 years, with a short break between 2022 and 2024.

For Michael, one of the most important parts of his role is being able to support bereaved families as they say goodbye to someone they love.

He says it is always a pleasure to help people, but there is something particularly meaningful about being able to play a part in carrying out a funeral service with the care and respect each family deserves.

Away from work, Michael enjoys walking and spending time with his family.

When asked to describe himself in three words, Michael chose:

With permission from the family, please find below the funeral details for the late Stephen Paul Anthony Taylor, who sadly passed away on Wednesday 17th June 2026, aged 59 Years.
The Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday 26th August 2026 at Mercia Forest Crematorium, Broad Lane, Essington. WV11 2RJ, at 11.30am.
The family have requested donations if desired to a Charity close to Stephen's Heart, The Large Breed Dog Rescue, Charity Number 1154504.

The Funeral Service will take place on Monday 3rd August 2026 at St Matthews Church, Walsall at 11.30am followed by a committal service at Streetly Crematorium (West Chapel), Little Hardwick Road, Walsall. WS9 0SG, at 1.00pm.

Meet the Team | Angela

We’re delighted to introduce Angela, who has been part of the Dean Harper family for just over a year.

Before joining Dean Harper Funeral Directors & Stonemasons Ltd, Angela spent 20 years working in education, specialising in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her caring nature and dedication to helping others have made her a valued member of our team.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Angela said:

“What I enjoy most is being able to support families during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Helping to create a meaningful farewell for their loved one and knowing I’ve made a difficult process a little easier is incredibly rewarding.”

Having lost her own father as a young adult, Angela understands just how important it is for families to feel listened to, supported and cared for during difficult times.

She explains:

“To me, providing excellent care means treating every family with kindness, compassion and respect. I aim to make every family feel that their loved one is in safe hands and that no question or concern is ever too small.”

Outside of work, Angela is a devoted mum and a huge dog lover who enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs.

Recently, we had the privilege of accompanying a family who chose our distinctive Land Rover hearse, creating a fitting and personal tribute to their loved one.
