We understand that news of the meningitis outbreak in Kent may feel worrying. Please remember that cases remain limited, and public health teams are responding quickly and effectively to keep people safe.

Meningitis is rare, and most people are at very low risk. Simple precautions like staying up to date with vaccinations and being aware of symptoms can make a big difference.

If you feel unwell or are concerned, don’t hesitate to seek medical advice, early care is always best.

Primary Care Networks bring practices together to provide additional services that truly make a difference to our patients and the wider community. Through Cannock Villages PCN, we are supported by an incredible multidisciplinary team including:

• First Contact Physiotherapists
• Care Co-ordinators
• Social Prescribers
• Dietitians
• Clinical Pharmacists
These professionals work alongside our GP and nursing teams to provide specialist advice, improve access to care, and help patients manage their health and wellbeing more effectively.
They also play a key role in supporting community events throughout the year – helping us deliver health promotion initiatives, education sessions and patient engagement activities.
We’re grateful for the collaborative approach that allows us to offer more holistic, joined-up care to our patients.
