Dear Residents, Families, Friends and Visitors,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Amita, and I am delighted to be joining The Grand Cedars Nursing Home as the Acting Home Manager, with the intention of taking on the role of Home Manager in the near future.

I want to reassure all our residents, families and visitors that the quality of care, compassion and support we provide will remain at the heart of everything we do. Our residents are our priority, and we are committed to ensuring they continue to feel safe, valued, respected and cared for as individuals.

I strongly believe that great care comes from great teamwork. I will be working closely with our dedicated care team, nurses, senior carers, kitchen, domestic and activities teams to continue building a positive, supportive and welcoming environment for everyone.

My door is always open. 💙 If you are a resident, family member or visitor and you have any questions, concerns, suggestions or simply wish to have a chat, please do not hesitate to come and speak with me. I believe in open communication, listening and working together.

I look forward to getting to know all our residents and families and to continuing to make The Grand Cedars a place where everyone feels at home. 🏡

There was plenty of laughter, a few impressive moves and, most importantly, they had a brilliant time! 🥰

I’m not sure about you, but I think Elaine might just have more rhythm than some of our staff! 😂👏

💫 Get to Know Us – The Grand Cedars 💫

Our residents may have only been with us for a short time, but each one has already brought with them a whole lifetime of stories, experiences and precious memories. ❤️

This afternoon, we took some time to get to know them a little better — chatting about their interests, hobbies, favourite things, things they love and the memories that hold a special place in their hearts.
It was wonderful hearing their stories and discovering the people behind the faces we are getting to know and care for. 🥰

Of course, we couldn’t let our lovely staff escape either, so they joined in too! It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to share a little more about themselves and find those special connections we have in common.

Because at The Grand Cedars, we’re not just a home… we’re one big community. 🏡❤️

A little throwback to those lovely warm days we enjoyed over the past few weeks! ☀️🌸 Our residents enjoyed some refreshing ice lollies in the garden, soaking up the sunshine and spending quality time together. 🍦😊

Today we enjoyed a lovely Pamper Day with our residents! 💕 We spent some relaxing time being pampered, having a little bit of fun, and enjoying some well-deserved self-care.
