Their answers were full of wisdom, life experience and some brilliant words of encouragement. ❤️

There’s something so special about listening to the stories and advice of the women who have lived through generations of change. We could have listened all day! 🥰

Here at Millfield Rose, we know just how much our four-legged visitors mean to our residents. From a gentle stroke and a waggy tail to the smiles they bring, pet therapy is always a favourite! 🥰

Our residents enjoyed getting creative today with some beautiful flower arranging, creating lovely pieces to brighten up their rooms. 🌷💜

We have a little secret weapon when it comes to flowers… our wonderful Jen, our Housekeeper/Kitchen Assistant, has a real knack for it! 😍 She helped our residents put together some gorgeous arrangements, with everyone getting involved and adding their own personal touch.

It’s lovely seeing our residents take pride in creating something beautiful to enjoy in their own rooms. 🌸

Our residents enjoyed an afternoon in our very own cinema watching Happy Gilmore — with plenty of laughs along the way! 😄

It’s lovely seeing our residents making the most of our facilities and enjoying a film together, just like they would at the cinema.

Get your festival gear ready and join us on Thursday 27th August, 11am – 3pm for a fun-packed, family-friendly afternoon at Millfield Rose Care Home.

We’ll have:
• BBQ, refreshments and sweet treats
• Live singer, music and dancing
• Face painting and craft activities
• A selection of summer drinks

Best of all, it’s completely FREE of charge and everyone is welcome! 🆓

Today, members of our team and residents’ families came together to become Dementia Friends, taking part in a really engaging and interactive session.

A huge thank you to Tracey from Alzheimer’s society for helping us understand more about dementia, challenging some common misconceptions and sharing practical ways we can all support people living with dementia.

It’s so important that we continue to learn, listen and understand — not only to support our residents and their loved ones, but also people living with dementia throughout our wider community. 💜
