For all of you SATC heads out there, this scene forever lives in my mind!

I love the tenant that there are 3 ways to change your state:
๐Ÿ’ƒ Movement
๐ŸŽถ Sound
๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Breath

For those days when you feel in a funk and donโ€™t know why, and for those when you do, spending a few minutes to feel your breath moving through your lungs might be the softening you need

Like the other day when I drank a coke zero and a bubble tea in an afternoon (๐Ÿซฃ) and started feeling jittery, anxious and ungrounded

Finding some time to breathe through meant I was able to stop freaking out and practice what I preach when I went to teach my Monday breathwork class

Are you able to put a pause in your spiral and breathe?

There's a lot of talk right now about how "nervous system regulation" gets used to tell people they need to be calm all the time, and that it bypasses the difficult feelings that come with being human

But what about when you were never taught how to feel your feelings?

They don't get felt. They get spiralled through, numbed out, or even turned into a story about what's wrong with you

Regulation isn't about skipping the feelings. It's what lets you stay in the room with them

The goal was never calm. It's learning capacity, the ability to start to witness the lack of calm and gradually get to know what it's telling you. That you don't always have to run

For me, it can be as simple as noticing my breath. Finding one slow exhale that becomes the anchor back from the spiral into stillness

An awareness of what is real in the moment, even when it's difficult. Enough ground under me that I can feel it and stay
Widening the comfort zone little by little

To me, nervous system regulation and present-moment awareness let me be in my life, rather than looking for ways to manage my way out of discomfort

Let me know in the comments if this resonates

Gotta celebrate myself a little bit today!

It's probably been longer since I was last actually 'drunk', but I mark this anniversary as having 2 glasses of Bollinger at a wedding ๐Ÿฅ‚

Now its double-parked with mocktails every time ๐Ÿน๐Ÿน

In craniosacral work, there's a place we call the long tide

Time stops behaving like time. Your system slows into deep restoration. Old memories or stray thoughts can surface, unprompted, uninvited: Your system doing its own quiet sorting

It doesn't happen in every session or for every person. But when it does, some people describe it as almost psychedelic - vivid, unscripted, entirely their own

We call it liminal space. The threshold where you get to watch what's unfurling without having to troubleshoot it. Where your system's own innate tendency for healing gets to take the lead instead of your logical mind

That's the place CST can open the door to

If you've spent years reading every room before you've even sat down - scanning for what's needed, what's expected, what's coming next - this is the one hour where nothing needs managing

Want a taste of that stillness? Let's go there

Youโ€™ve heard people claim "this is a safe space"

In a yoga class, a session with your new therapist, that retreat you finally booked for yourself. It's said with good intention - we all want to know the person guiding us has our best interests at heart

But maybe the reason you roll your eyes or it feels hollow is because it isn't actually true

Safety isn't a catch-all declaration. It's something your nervous system decides, moment to moment, through your unique lens, your unrepeatable life experience

What feels safe to your best friend might be the exact thing that has you quietly inching toward the door

The therapist wearing your ex's aftershave
The person across the room who looks like your toxic boss

It can be that obvious - or it can be an instructor asking permission to adjust you, and you can't work out why you want to say "no," so you nod along. You don't want to make a fuss

This last one is what I really want you to notice. Sometimes you don't know when something doesn't feel safe. It's a subtle resistance.

You don't name what's wrong, you knuckle through
You go quiet and check out
You say "I'm fine" but mean "get me out of here"

You put it down to not being for you, then chastise yourself for not getting it

In reality, your body clocked something before your mind got the memo

You're not being too sensitive. It's a very old, very capable survival system reading a room faster than you could ever consciously think it through

There is no universal safe space, only learning what safety feels like in your own body - not what someone told you it should feel like - so you recognise genuine ease when you're standing in it. And you can identify the opposite too

Honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way

Underneath everything, I know you just want to be seen, held, and responded to as the one-of-one you truly are - not folded into someone else's version of safe, or "normal"

So instead, you are welcome here, exactly as you're showing up today

Many people who come to see me have spent years getting really good at saying 'yes'.

Yes to the extra responsibility. Yes to the plan that wasn't quite theirs. Yes to showing up for everyone else first. Yes when they didn't really mean it.

Saying 'no' when you're worried about what the response is going to be can be scary. But what if the first step isn't being brave enough to say it โ€” it's just learning to feel it?

Swipe to find out what I mean. ๐Ÿ‘‰

Your body has been trying to tell you something for years.

Most of us were taught to think our way through life. To analyse, to push through, to get on with it. And we got very good at it.

Craniosacral therapy works differently. It begins in the quiet underneath all of that โ€” where your nervous system can finally stop scanning, and something truer can be heard.

Sessions include time to integrate what arises, so you leave feeling settled, not stirred up.

If something in this carousel felt familiar, that recognition is worth following
