She knew she wanted to walk more.

She didn’t need me to tell her that.

What became much more interesting was understanding why something she genuinely wanted kept being so difficult to make part of her life.

And this is such a good example of what I mean when I say I work with what’s underneath the surface.

Sometimes the thing we think we need to “fix” isn’t really the whole story.

Once we get curious about the pattern underneath it, things can start to look very different.

What’s something you KNOW you want to do, but keep finding yourself not doing? 👀

15/09/2026

This is the bit I don’t think I’ve shown enough of on here.

What I actually DO. 😂

Because telling someone who struggles with boundaries that they “need better boundaries” isn’t particularly helpful.

They usually already know.

I’m interested in what happens when they actually try to set one.

And boundaries are just one example.

Maybe you know you need to slow down, but slowing down makes you uncomfortable.

Maybe you want to put yourself out there, but being seen brings something up.

Maybe you know what you want to change, but you keep ending up back in the same place.

That’s the stuff I love getting curious about.

Not deciding what’s wrong with you.

Not giving you another list of things you “should” be doing.

Actually working with what’s going on underneath the pattern.

If you’ve been watching my stuff and wondering whether the work I do could help with something you’re dealing with, DM me WORK and tell me what’s going on.

We can have a chat.

There's nothing more frustrating than being completely aware of your own pattern...

and then watching yourself do it AGAIN. 😂

“I know I need to stop doing this.”

“I know I need to say no.”

“I know I'm worrying too much about what they think.”

“I KNOW.”

And sometimes we give ourselves a really hard time because we think that once we understand something, surely we should be able to just stop doing it?

But this is something I see in the work I do all the time.

Knowing is useful.

But I'm interested in what happens when you actually try to change it.

Because that's often where more information starts to appear.

Maybe saying no makes you feel guilty.

Maybe making the change means somebody could be disappointed in you.

Maybe doing the thing you really want means being more visible.

Maybe the familiar option just feels easier, even when you know it's not really what you want anymore.

And no, I don't think every bit of procrastination, every bad habit or every decision we make needs analysing to death.

Sometimes we just don't fancy doing the bloody thing. 😂

But when the SAME pattern keeps showing up and it's genuinely getting in the way of something you want?

That's when I get curious.

That's a big part of the work I do at Ribble Therapy.

Not telling you what you “should” be doing.

Looking at what's actually going on for YOU.

And if you've got something in your life right now where you're thinking...

**“I know what I want. I just don't understand why I keep getting in my own way.”**

Start there.

I've have a free Alignment Method that takes you through some of the questions I use to help you look underneath the surface.

Comment **ALIGNMENT** and I'll send you the link. 💛

You know what you want. So why aren’t you doing it? 👀

Sometimes the answer isn’t that you need more motivation, more discipline or another plan.

Sometimes it’s worth getting curious about the beliefs and patterns that might be sitting underneath the surface.

That’s exactly why I created The Alignment Method, a free guided tool to help you explore what might really be getting in the way.

✨ It’s completely free, link in my bio.

You might be surprised by what comes up. 🌈

🌈 Ribble Therapy is changing…

Actually, maybe evolving is a better word.

When I first started Ribble Therapy, so much of my work was about the body.

Pain. Tension. Movement. Helping people physically feel better.

And I still LOVE that work. That’s not going anywhere.

But over the years, something has become really clear to me…

We’re whole humans.

And what’s happening in our body isn’t always the whole story.

I’ve become increasingly fascinated by what sits underneath the surface.

The nervous system.

The beliefs we carry.

The patterns we repeat, even when we desperately want to change them.

The way we can know exactly what we should do, yet somehow still struggle to do it.

People pleasing.

Overthinking.

Putting ourselves at the bottom of our own list.

Losing confidence.

Feeling stuck.

Or reaching a point where we think…

“I don’t even know who I am anymore.”

And THAT is where my work has been growing.

I’m still interested in helping you feel better in your body.

But I’m also interested in the rest of you.

What you believe.

What you’ve learnt.

What you’ve been carrying.

What keeps showing up.

What you actually want.

And what might be getting in the way of you having it.

Because sometimes change isn’t about trying harder.

Sometimes it’s about getting curious about why you’re finding it so hard in the first place.

And that’s the direction Ribble Therapy is moving in.

Hands. Heart. Healing. Transformation. 🌈

The hands-on work isn’t disappearing.

It’s just no longer the whole story.

And over the next few weeks, I’m going to start showing you much more of what this side of my work actually looks like, the tools I use, the things we explore, and most importantly, the changes I’m seeing people experience.

Because I think it’s time I showed you what I actually do. 💗

Ribble Therapy is evolving.

And I am SO ready for where it’s going. 🌈

Have you ever technically “rested” all evening and somehow gone to bed still feeling like you’ve been on duty? 👀

Physical stillness isn’t always the same as switching off.

You can be lying on the sofa while mentally organising tomorrow, replaying conversations, checking notifications and feeling guilty about all the things you could be doing.

Which isn’t particularly restful.

So tonight, rather than trying to create the world’s most perfect evening routine, experiment with TWO MINUTES.

Phone down.

Shoulders down.

Jaw soft.

A slightly longer exhale.

And, perhaps most importantly:

Nothing to achieve.

Nothing to improve.

Nothing to tick off.

Just two minutes where you don’t have to be useful.

See what you notice and let me know in the comments how you feel.

We’re very quick to call ourselves the problem.

Lazy. Inconsistent. Undisciplined. Self-sabotaging.

But sometimes I think there’s a much more interesting question to ask:

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐦𝐞? 👀

Maybe it keeps you away from rejection.

Maybe it avoids conflict.

Maybe it keeps you somewhere familiar.

Maybe there’s nothing particularly deep going on and you genuinely just don't fancy doing the thing today. 😂

The point isn't to analyse every decision you make.

It’s to replace a little bit of the judgement with curiosity.

Because when we understand what might be sitting underneath a pattern, we have much more information to work with.

And if there's something you really want but you keep finding yourself stuck around it, I've got a free tool to help you explore exactly this.

Well… apparently my body has decided today is a REST day. 🤧😂

I’m full of a cold, feeling pretty rubbish, and instead of doing what so many of us are guilty of doing, pushing through, ignoring it and carrying on regardless, I’m actually listening to my body.

So today looks like plenty of rest, good nourishing food and nutrients, lots of fluids, and my doTERRA oils as part of my little self care routine. 💚

Because looking after ourselves isn’t just something we do when we have spare time.

And listening to your body doesn’t only count when it’s convenient.

Sometimes your body makes the decision for you and says,

“Nope. Sit your arse down, love.” 😂

And considering I spend so much of my working life encouraging people to listen to what their body and nervous system are telling them, I probably ought to practise what I preach. 😉

So that’s exactly what I’m doing today.

Rest. Nourishment. No guilt.

Everything else can wait. ❤️

Anyone else fighting off the September lurgy, or am I having all the fun? 🤧😂
