🐝🦋 Celebrating National Nature Conservation Day at Walton Park Care Home! 🦋🐝

Residents have been busy today building bug hotels and a pollinator hydration station, giving our bees and butterflies a safe place to shelter and a cool drink during these hot summer days!

Activities like these help protect the incredible creatures that play such a vital role in our ecosystem, and our residents loved every minute of getting hands-on in the garden.

A special shout-out to our upcycling champion, Kerry, who made sure none of our old garden pots went to waste turning everyday items we no longer needed into something beautiful and useful for our garden visitors.

Well done to everyone involved , a wonderful way to mark the day! 💚

Preparations are underway for our A Taste of Home event this August! 🌿🍽️

Our Gardening Club has been busy growing fresh herbs that will be used in some of our residents' favourite dishes. Growing our own ingredients not only adds wonderful flavour but also supports sustainability by reducing waste and bringing fresh, homegrown produce straight from the garden to the table.

We can't wait to celebrate the special memories, traditions and tastes that make every home unique. ❤️

What a fantastic time we had at our Craft Café this week!

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, creative ideas, and beautiful crafts being made.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fun and successful session.

We can't wait to do it all again and look forward to seeing everyone next week for more creativity, laughter, and great company! 💛

Today we said a temporary goodbye to one of our fabulous Senior Carers as she heads off on maternity leave! 💕👶

She's spent years expertly caring for others, but she's about to take on her biggest challenge yet... a tiny new boss with absolutely no respect for shift patterns, break times, or sleep! 😂

Thank you for everything you've done for the residents and the team. Enjoy your new adventure!
