We have spent time exploring and observing the different animals that visit and make use of our wild garden. During our observations, we spotted a variety of wildlife, including bees, butterflies, and ladybirds. We thoroughly enjoyed identifying the different creatures and learning more about the important role they play in our environment. This experience helped us to appreciate nature and the value of creating spaces that support wildlife.

Yesterday, to help keep cool in the heat, we enjoyed a refreshing fresh fruit salad featuring apple, mango, watermelon, kiwi, grapes, and blueberries, served alongside ice cream.

We also discovered that one of our staff members is a talented guitarist. He kindly performed a few songs for us, including the much-loved classic You Are My Sunshine, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

For World Baking Day, the residents decided they would like to bake cakes. We prepared a batch of vanilla cakes and another with sultanas in. The residents enjoyed a cupcake with their dinner alongside tea or coffee, and everyone commented on how delicious they were.
