What a fantastic day we all had on Saturday at our Caribbean themed summer party/open day. The weather was kind to us and everybody entered into the party spirit! Thank-you to our wonderful colleagues who all pulled together to make the day special, to the residents who we do this for, their families who joined us and some new friends who we hope to see again in the near future….We had rum and fruity punches 🍹 some live entertainment with a singer in the morning and then a magician in the afternoon and of course some Caribbean inspired food produced by our own kitchen, we played games, we danced, we laughed and joked and of course took lots of photos - grab yourself a cup of tea and enjoy the photo dump attached….

We have continued to celebrate Jean T’s birthday here at Charlton Lodge and Jean requested we did some flower arranging, we included some of Jean’s favourite roses 🌹 and after the flower arranging (which the results are displayed around Charlton Lodge) we played a quiz with a flower and plant theme…

We have celebrated National Lipstick 💄 Day here at Charlton Lodge with plenty of lipstick kisses! Residents and staff all got involved giving their lipstick kisses and enjoyed a pamper day in the salon with a glass of Bucks Fizz 🥂💋💋💋

Today is World Nature Conservation Day! 🪴🌏

At Charlton Lodge, residents welcomed young carers from 'Nacho's Young Carers' and the Mayor of Wantage to build bug boxes, learn about biodiversity and create insect-friendly habitats for the home's garden.
