🏥 COME SEE OUR NEW BUILD 🏥
The much anticipated completion of our building extension work is here, and we wanted to share a sneak peak preview ahead of some final finishing touches.
🧱 Since January this year, CJK (Cheshire Joinery and Kitchens Limited) have been working hard on the mammoth task of creating building an extension to create 2 new clinical rooms, adapting our internal area to create a further 3 new clinical rooms and 1 admin room, updating our front and rear entrance plus replacing 16 fire doors within our surgery. We also had a new medical records archive system installed to assist in saving space. This area is future proofed for the time when records are made fully digital and the area could then be converted again into a clinical room.
👨⚕️ Two of our new clinical rooms that are within the rear extension through waiting area 2 are now occupied by Dr Brooks and Dr McCarthy. The final 3 clinical rooms will be in use by the end of the month, occupied by our nursing team, paramedic and first contact physiotherapist.
🩺Due to the extension, some of our clinicians have had a little move around into new spaces- so if you are a patient who see's a regular GP, please ensure you are checking with the receptionist before waiting outside their normal consultation room in case they have changed consultation rooms.
🎨 As mentioned, there are still some finishing touches to complete, including additional ventilation for 2 of the new rooms, name plates for the doors, and decorating within the waiting area over the next few months as we work to harmonise the interior of the entire building, new and old.
♿️ There is now a new accessible entrance at the rear of the building with two new parking spaces for blue badge holders. Patients requiring entrance via this door need to ring the doorbell for access. The rear entrance is only for patients who have entered this way and is not to be used as a general exit for all patients – we have a busy staff car park and there isn’t provision for pedestrian access. Pedestrian access is from the front entrance onto the public footpath.
🚪 We are planning to install a push button on our front door entrance as we do realise this door is heavier than the old one, so please bear with us whilst we complete this.
🩵As always, we want to say thank you to our patients who have shown kindness, understanding and patience whilst our staff and team have navigated their usual working days throughout the building process.
💙A thank you to all of our own staff who have continued to work and care for patients along side any building noise and disruptions, we appreciate the challenges that have come with the process but professionalism and care has been maintained at all times.
🤍One last thank you, to the team at CJK- not only for creating the brilliant new spaces within the building, but for your patience in managing the expectations, emotions and stresses of our team during the last 6 months. Cheshire Joinery & Kitchens
