Today at Brampton Lodge Day Centre, we enjoyed a wonderful musical afternoon filled with singing, dancing, and plenty of smiles! 🎶💃🕺

Our clients had a fantastic time dancing along to classics from
Engelbert Humperdinck, Ray Charles, "Lilacs in the Spring," and Pat Boone. Everyone joined in for a heartfelt singalong to Top of the World and We'll Meet Again, creating a lovely atmosphere full of joy, laughter, and happy memories.

Music has such a special way of bringing people together, and today was a perfect reminder of that. Thank you to everyone who took part and made the afternoon so memorable! ❤️🎵

Yesterday, we had a very special visitor – baby Arlo! 💙👶

Moo-Moo (the very first thing Muriel told us when we met her was, "Call me Moo-Moo!") absolutely loved having cuddles with little Arlo. 🥰

Arlo truly brightened up the room, bringing smiles to everyone's faces. All of our clients were so happy to see him, enjoying spending time with him, sharing cuddles, and giving him lots of love. Moments like these remind us just how much joy and comfort the youngest visitors can bring. ❤️

This week at our day centre has been full of fun, laughter, and meaningful activities! 🧁💃⚽🎈

Our clients have enjoyed baking, dancing, and even balloon football – all designed to be person-centred, engaging, and enjoyable.

Every activity we provide has a purpose:
🍰 Baking helps improve hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and encourages independence.
🎈 Balloon football promotes gentle physical exercise, muscle control, balance, and coordination.
🎶 Music and dancing provide valuable music therapy, helping to stimulate the brain, encourage movement, boost mood, and bring back treasured memories.

For people living with dementia, these activities are so much more than just fun – they help maintain physical abilities, support cognitive function, encourage social interaction, and enhance overall wellbeing.

We pride ourselves on being truly person-centred, working alongside each individual to create active, stimulating, and meaningful days that reflect their interests, abilities, and needs. Seeing our clients smile, laugh, and thrive is what makes every day so rewarding. 💙

Last Friday, we had our annual Summer Party, and what a fantastic day it was! ☀️🎉

In the afternoon, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Bernie to Brampton Lodge, who entertained us with a fantastic selection of classic songs. 🎶Clients and Residents came together to sing, dance, and enjoy each other's company, creating such a warm sense of community.

It was truly heart warming to see so many happy faces and our residents having such a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special—we're already looking forward to next year's Summer Party! 💛

🏆 THE BRAMPTON WORLD CUP HAS COME TO AN END! 🏆

Before we reveal our champions, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part. Every player gave it their all, showed fantastic team spirit, and helped make this year's Brampton World Cup a brilliant competition. Most importantly, fun was had by everyone! ❤️⚽

Our final event was Volleyball... and what a final it was!

At half-time, BL FC were leading 5–3, and it looked like they were in control. After a team talk from both managers, the second half got underway.

What followed was an incredible comeback. DC FC dug deep, fought for every point, and slowly began to take control. But BL FC weren't giving up without a fight, making it an exciting contest right to the very end.

Just when we thought it was all over, the final whistle blew... and the 10 winning points had been secured!

🥁 And the winners of the Brampton World Cup 2026 are...

🏆🎉 DC FC! 🎉🏆

A massive well done to both teams for an unforgettable final and to everyone who took part throughout the tournament.

The Day Centre is getting ready for World Cup Day 3 – The Final! 🏐🌍

It's currently 1-1, so everything is still to play for! This morning we've been busy creating our signs and posters, ready to cheer on TEAM BRAMPTON LODGE DC FC as they compete in this afternoon's volleyball final.

The atmosphere is building, the team is ready, and our supporters are louder than ever!

🏆 Brampton World Cup – Day Two 🏆

What a fantastic day of competition at the Brampton World Cup! 🌟

Today saw Team DC FC playing at home against the visiting Team BL FC, with two exciting activities taking place throughout the day.

🎳 First Half
Team BL FC got off to a flying start in the bowling, taking the lead with strike after strike! 💥

Meanwhile, Team DC FC were battling it out in the target game. Knowing they needed valuable points to extend their overall lead and potentially wrap up the tournament with a day to spare, they put in an incredible performance, hitting target after target. 🎯👏

After an action-packed first half, both teams enjoyed a well-earned hydration break and a sing-along before the second half got underway. 🎶💧

⚽ Second Half
The whistle blew, and it was time for the teams to switch activities.

Team BL FC took on the target game, where Mike stole the show by hitting jackpot after jackpot! 🎯⭐

Over on the bowling lanes, Team DC FC knew they needed to take control of the competition. Every bowl counted as both teams dug deep and gave it everything they had right to the very end. 💪🎳

As the final ball was bowled and the last target was hit, the scores were revealed...

🏆⚽ Brampton World Cup – Day 1! ⚽🏆

This week we're celebrating the end of the World Cup with three exciting days of games between our Day Centre and the Home! Competing for glory are Team DC FC and Team BL FC.

Today's event was Indoor Batton Football, and what a fantastic match it was! From the first whistle, both teams gave it everything in an end-to-end battle.

At half-time, Team BL FC held a narrow lead, 11–9, with Team DC FC determined to fight back. After a well-earned hydration break, managers Kirsty and Emma rallied their teams with some inspiring team talks.

The second half was absolutely jaw-dropping, with both teams battling right until the final whistle. In an incredible finish, Team DC FC completed a stunning comeback to win 20–19, taking victory on the first day of the Brampton World Cup! 🎉👏

Congratulations to both teams for an amazing game full of teamwork, determination, and great sportsmanship.
